I loved Pigeon Street - still remember this song. I'm now 30! Really want to buy Pigeon Street on DVD for my friends 2yr old twins but can't find it on DVD anywhere. Anyone know if it exists on DVD?? It's a definite classic.
Where Pigeons beat their wings wings beat! Thanks for postings! Reminds me of watching day time tv with my mom when I was little! She'd then force me to atch Pebble Mill with Alan Titichmarsh and Judi Spiers!
What a comfort that music is!!!!!. Soulyard if I'm not mistaken and I remember the titles....Long Distance Clara....George Layton's narration, Ah, those were days.Thankyou from a skiving 13 year old 80's kid - now 40 year old.
I watched this when I was off school once in the early 80s. I am off work sick today and thought I would watch some Pigeon Street again, 30 years later.
i bought the dvd and have forced my 9 year olds to watch it. Made them watch tron too, remember when we were kids how you thought that the special effects in tron would never be topped!! lol my kids like pidgeon street, but now want a drum kit to make the pidgeon noise! bugger!
i love this thanks so so much for posting it. Im 28 now and remember this episode. My daughter is 3 and she loves it now. My fave character was Long distance Clara the lorry driver! x
I'm very pleased to hear that it's being passed on to a new generation (most of what I grew up with myself was from about 10 years before I was born) - glad you enjoyed it :)
I remember this... I used to LOVE it! Im only 16 now but i remember this like it was yesterday!! My favourite too was long distance clara!

Ken Livingston and Boris Johnson call them rats with wings which is offensive but what do you expect from overgrown tory school kids.

Man those walls must have been made of tissue if a neighbour could hear their next door neighbour pouring a cup of tea and clinking a bowl.

I think mr jupiter could have spent his time better than building a machine that wakes him up at 7 a.m. with a boiled egg.
