Ok so you mark the ball with 5 dots wtf? At no point in the video do give us an explanation of why we should choose one over the other, but again thx for telling us you mark the ball with 5 red dots. This video was useless.
Hey ryan, I was wondering where I should find an advanced fitter for the ball because whenever a local ball fitting session comes to my course the fitter asks me irrelevant questions "like what brand of ball do you use"? Then hands me a sleeve of Pro V1's. This always happens because I'm 14 years old and quite serious about playing my best. I'm looking for a fitting session that is a little more sophisticated and doesn't take 10 seconds. By the way, keep up the videos; they're great!
@PlymouthVids13 Any chance you have an iPhone or Touch? Titleist has a very comprehensive ball fitting app modeled after the Ball Fitting Touring Van. I'd follow that process starting at the green and back!
@ryancrysler Is it the same ball fitting module as the titleist website fitter because the app is for the U.S. iTunes store only and I live in Canada.
@PlymouthVids13 Indeed it's very similar. Titleist hopes to have multiple country app versions out soon. It uses the iPhone locator to keep you aware of fitters near you...mapping every country in the world takes a little time. :)
@DanBingham95 Ball fitting is all about performance and feel from the green back. Figure out which ball you like to chip/pitch/putt with and and good fitter/instructor can tune your set accordingly. Ball speed is really a nonfactor.
@DanBingham95 It doesn't matter what swing speed you are, usually it comes down to short game. But if you are consistently over 100 mph you should use Pro v1 or Pro v1x
to me the x ball feels almost exactally the same other than it has more spin than the previous x. and the regular pro v1 feels softer than the previous. ima pro v1x player
I play with with pro v1x because they're longer. But they're harder and have less spin. So it's hard for me to decide. I would use a Slazenger because they're long and soft, but they go WAY too fast on the green.
Okay guys. My comments on using the Pro V1 (not the Pro V1 X) in a national tournement this weekend.
I only missed first place by two shots and this was my first large tournement. I am hooked on this ball. It did great. Great feel and covered up some of my mistakes and they are durable.
Until I find a better ball, this one will stay in my bag.
Austin Texas is the dream city for golfers. Beautiful weather almost year round and the prices are very reasonable. Not to mention the music scene. Austin was once ranked number one the nation for golfers. Many golf courses in the area. Many movie, pro players, musicians etc etc make their home here.
Every single ball ive played in the last 6 months has been one ive hawked from a hazzard or from beyond OB. Ive got a 9 handicap. As far as Im concerned this guys wasting his time because I play anything from topflite D2s to pro v1s and i can barely notice any difference at all. however, my favorite ball to play is a nike powersoft so dont take me seriously
That's great to hear because I am currently a junior in high school and seriously considering going to University of Texas for undergrad and law school. I am also possibly moving their as my dad is retiring when I finish high school. If this does work out I will surely come to you for all my golf club needs.
I'm curious, have your ever been to Montana, more specifically the StockFarm at Hamilton; I've found numerous Pro V1's with the same exact markings as the ones you were holding.
@kalanisurf watch my video again and follow the the instructions on where to start.

Pro V1 is the best, hit one 15ft from the hole on par 4 once, great spin and the way it stops is fantastic

Does anyone know of any other golf ball similar to the pro v1s for a tad less in price With the same spin you can get out of the pro v1s?
