This fight scene is awful. Its horribly choreographed, and both actors are obviously setting/bracing for the blows they will receive; Cruise's cartwheel kick at around 3:33 is the most blatant example of this. Also, for a supposedly legendary filmmaker, John Woo has no clue how to direct this scene, he must have been using the annoying frequent slow-mo to achieve new levels of cheesiness and overwrought action, something even Zack Snyder would be ashamed of. This entire scene was comedic to me.
