She's only exaggerating the sounds that non natives of New York hear. Of course yous guys in New York don't talk like that because it's much quicker and clipped. New Yorkers do not sound that crazy. So chill out already.
i know most new yorkers are offended by these videos. however, in older times this was a new york accent. In recent years it's obviously been changed. This is good for dramatic performances taking place in the 30s or 40s. Dont insult her, she does a good job.
idk i kinda agree with dangerdavefreestyle i think depending where in ny u say sry and orange but everyone knows the correct way is orange but sometimes i agree it does come out like arange and i do say sarry sometimes but i also say ornage like if im rly sry i say sarry if im like yellin sry i say sorry
i must make a correction. new yorkers do not say sorry like the way you said it. its more like sarry. like when a doctor tells you to say ahh. same with orange. its not oarange. its ahrange.
WTF ?? I was born and raised in NEW YORK and i do not talk like that idk if she trying to do an italian new yorker accent it doesnt rly sound like that but this is not a tru NEW YORKER !!
But yeah, I've never heard anyone say "i'm sore at you" lol. Hopefully that was just an example of pronunciation and not regional phraseology. haha. And why is everyone being so harsh? Calm down, this lady is trying to help people with her videos.
Yeah she's teaching me a lot, I bet all of you guys are just jealous because don't have any special talents that you can show on youtube. Or if you do they probably don't get many views and aren't helpful in peoples lives at all. :p
I'd say many of the people from the bigger cities in the US pretty much sound rather alike now-a-days for the most part due to influence of the media. Nearly everyone that has been influenced heavily by the media has a touch of every accent now. haha. I know an older lady in her 50's that was raised in New York and lives there and she kind ot has like a New Yorker/Valspeak thing going on. lol. I sort of do too but with a southern drawl and a hint of a spanish accent, and I dont speak spanish lol
WE DON'T FUCKIN TALK LIKE THAT YOU Stupid BITCH! I ALSO LIVE IN NYC, MY WHOLE LIFE, AND YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVEN"T EVER EVEN BEEN TO NEW YORK YOU IDIOT> YOU PROLLY LEARNED YOU NY ACCENT IN FUCKIN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA YOU BITCH>
True. I know a guy from NY and he doesn't even talk like that. But i heard that in Brooklyn and Boston they talk like that. Maybe she's accually reffering to that? but idk i live in Colorado.
If you're an actor using this woman for audition help w/ a NY accent you will fail the audition. She's totally off the mark. I'm a lifelong NYC resident familiar with all the borough variations and this isn't it.
get a life look at how many vids she has thumbs up if you agree
