What kills me is that in this case cops waited 4 hours! Yes 4 hours outside of the bus and only intervened when he broke a window and tried to escape! No, the cops did not shoot him as they should. They were concerned for their safety the cowards they are. He was a real tough guy with a knife. I just dont get it, a bus full of people, this little chinese guy pulls a knife out and starts stabbing, and everybody just runs out of the bus. Did no one even think to jump on the guy, I mean what the hell is this, I seriously cant take it anymore, as Einstein said, the only reason evil exists is because good people do nothing!

They did try to help, a group came back to swarm the guy once everyone else got out safely. But the crazy son of a b**ch started swinging at them with his knife and also was swing the severed head at them. If it weren't for the bus driver to find the killswitch for the engine on the outside and these group of guys guarding the door, that psycho could of killed more people. Plus, just because he was chinese does not mean he was little, he was 6 feet tall with a rambo knife.

@flywithvicky Yea thats called being a man. In our primitive days there was dangers all over the place, you had to be brave to even go look for food, there would be wild animals that would tear you apart. But you do it anyways! Your instinct for survival overcomes the fear. Now take that to another level, where is your instinct to see your SPECIES survive! And yes it IS cowardly, there were 35 other ppl on that bus, if half of them tried to do something, they couldve saved his life. Its a SHAME.

@flywithvicky Ill draw the line, Ill draw the line clearly! When a life is on the line, you have a RESPONSIBILITY to try to help, thats a fellow human being! And no matter what you say, its still and will remain a symbol of how divided and selfish we are. Its like the people trampling a kid to death storming into a Wal-Mart, its like seeing a car accident and not doing anything, as a responsible adult, you have a responsibility, imagine if police officers, firemen, soldiers thought like you!

Its the same spirit that police officers and soldiers have, and Ive always had it. Its a natural male instinct ingrained into us, we had to defend our tribe, or go extinct. When I see someone hurting innocents, it is my instinct to just jump on them. Any real man should have that instinct! The police "waited" for hours while he was mutilating and eating McLean. They should have just blown up the bus with Li inside, instead they gave him a green light to fully act out his murderous, schizoid, cannibalistic behavior. Very tragic

Untreated schizophrenia = free pass to kill? The fact that he left it untreated leaves him criminally responsible. (It is very easy to get FREE medicine for this illness in Canada, there is no excuse. ) I have schizophrenia and this situation insults me. He should be in jail.

@subsubmubmub No one said it was perfect. Your assumptions about me...once again are rather circular since you have no basis of reasoning to call me out. The medicine is very different for various people which is why it needs to be constantly monitored. Of course no ones life is perfect if you got that impressive from me I apologize. I am not a stunning turn around story but I am living and happy with where I am//where I am going.

@SRNF Not to excuse this guy, he should be locked away for life b/c I have no doubt he will always pose a threat to society, but some schizophrenics are worse than others. I had a relative who had it and she would never get treatment, refused to takes her meds. She had to be compelled numerous times during her life to take the meds, etc. She actually believed she was normal and it was everyone else who had the problem (despite her bizairre paranoias, delusions and hallucinations).

What kills me the most is that it was unprovoked. Honestly, I don't care if the guy is insane, schizo, or whatever. He deserves nothing less than death and if Canada has a problem taking care of it, then ship him across the border and we'll deal with him.
