This seems, to me at least, the sorta thing you'd hear as you and the party runs down that last strip of uncorrupted or undestroyed land towards the boss. As you run, you look to last bit of natural beauty left and remember why you fight and your resolve is hardened. And when you finally reach the boss, the abrupt end to the song transitions into the confrontation music.

A giant robot appears and is about to destroy the world. Everyone watches in dismay as the strongest warrior has fallen. One looks at him on the ground for it has been his brother. One chance remaining. I must avenge him and save the world. Runs, grabs the sword, and charges at the giant. The robot is powerful, but is slow. Using the same techniques to destroy the robot, only faster. The robot was destroyed...at a cost. They'll both be remembered.
