Well we can keep spending billions fighting a war that they are not winning. One where the only who profit are the lawyers (many of who are law makers) and the illegal drug trade. Is it more costly to rehab or imprison. Could it free up law enforcement to actually look for murderers and thieves? Could it get meth labs outta your neighborhood? People will use drugs legal or not, the way its being handled now is not working. Right now a ten year old can get heroin easier than beer.

@ahorvath96 But that's not completely the point. The point is that just because it's a plant or because it comes from a plant, that doesn't mean that it's entirely healthy. Just look at the 400 chemicals inside marijuana, including the ones that are known carcinogens.
@GentlemanThunder7 look at the 4000 chemicals in tobacco, 50 of them being known carcinogens, and im not saying its entirely healthy, but it sure as hell isnt as bad for you as any other drug, it is less harful than cigarettes, and i dont see why a plant that grows naturally on earth has to be illegal, God put it here for a reason

Do you think that they won't add anything to marijuana if they're the middle man in order to keep people addicted? Also, alongside that, yes, marijuana is safer than cigarettes with regard to carcinogens, but do we really want to COMPOUND our problems even more?
@GentlemanThunder7 i know people add stuff to it pcp showed up in one of my drug tests, i smoked some laced weed, i didnt know it was laced though, but if it were legalized, it would be mass produced, and people would inspect it and that would get rid of alot of laced weed, it would be more pure, but the companies would probably add crap to it to get u addicted just like they do cigarettes, i agree, but it is easy to grow and you could grow your own pure weed
@ahorvath96 The same thing goes for tobacco. Some people grow their own tobacco. However, how many actually are going grow their marijuana? Many of them would just go to a middleman to purchase their marijuana. Then, there's also not to mention the other effects of marijuana as well. The increase to cancer effect, the fact that it contributes to mental illnesses, and several other effects as well.

@ahorvath96 But no matter how you do it, there's the fact that you are consuming THC in some way, which will have some kind of negative effect on the brain. And what would be the effects of eating it or vaporizing it. There's so much disparity in the questions that we have here with regard to methods used and the effects of the use of marijuana. And no, it's not exactly easier to grow than tobacco. You need really careful environments to grow marijuana from what I learned about it.

@ahorvath96 Medical marijuana is only legal in 16 states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington) and DC, and even then it's not completely the same as the recreational marijuana and still has a lot of controversy therein. They use only parts of the cannabis plant and a modified form of THC. The controversy over this marijuana is still heavy because of so much research on it.

I will say that medical marijuana, to be fair, has been good for brain cancer and HIV patients, but the other effects must be considered as well. Also, when we talk about legalization of marijuana, we're talking about legalization for recreational use, which is what really matters when talking about legalization of marijuana or any other drug. Medical marijuana is kind of a different story.

Many of them would just go to a middleman to purchase their marijuana. Then, there's also not to mention the other effects of marijuana as well. And what would be the effects of eating it or vaporizing it. There's so much disparity in the questions that we have here with regard to methods used and the effects of the use of marijuana. And no, it's not exactly easier to grow than tobacco. You need really careful environments to grow marijuana from what I learned about it.

@ahorvath96 Medical marijuana is only legal in 16 states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington) and DC, and even then it's not completely the same as the recreational marijuana and still has a lot of controversy therein. They use only parts of the cannabis plant and a modified form of THC. The controversy over this marijuana is still heavy because of so much research on it.

I will say that medical marijuana, to be fair, has been good for brain cancer and HIV patients, but the other effects must be considered as well. Also, when we talk about legalization of marijuana, we're talking about legalization for recreational use, which is what really matters when talking about legalization of marijuana or any other drug. Medical marijuana is kind of a different story.

Crime only exist if laws exist. STOP wasting the united states money on the war on drugs and prison systems. Give tax incentives so companies can start selling marijuana just like a cigerette and not only will the government cut spending but ALSO increase profits and income. pot atleast should be legal because its constitutional but any of the drugs made in labs ie.Cocaine,Methanphetamine,etc should be illegal
i dont do drugs but its a persons opinion on whether or not they want toi still agree with drunk driving laws but i think it should regulated in a manner similar to alchohol and tobacco but all 3 should be broken down with less regs then they already have

there are alot of cases of drunk drivers killing someone or some guy gets done drinking a case of beer and goes and murders his wife and kid. you never hear of anyone killing under the influence of marijuana. outlaw alcohol and legalize weed thats what needs done. and a question for ya! who would you rather have locked up? a harmless weed smoking hippie or a dangerous drunk murderer?

@russskates26 but then wouldn't the complete legalization of marijuana eliminate these executions and be headings etc. because people would turn to a regulated sale identical to alcohol. you don't see the illegal smuggling of alcohol into this country. the use of marijuana is not and never has killed people. the illegality is the only thing causing deaths and wrongful incarcerations. doesn't this make sense to you?
