This man doesn't lock out his back leg in walking stance, and his weight seems to be equally spread out over both legs in L-Stance when you're meant to shift more weight onto your back leg. Does anyone else see this or am I wrong?
His leg is locked out - the sound is slightly out of sync which gives the illusion of his leg being bent at the point of impact but if you turn the sound down and/or pause the video when he punches, you'll see that when the arm is at full extension, the leg is locked.
The forms from this group are very bouncy and are not done with the power and the fluid movements that they are suppose to be done with. While the direction in the form is correct and the steps the execution is very wrong.
And the sine-wave is every were at ITF taekwon-do.. So what this man does is ok.
And what is wrong at the steps? this are normal walking-stance and L-stances!
Mabye you see it wrong becaus your practish a other style
But ITF is the orginal Taekwon-do who Gen Choi Hong Hi founded in the year 1966
And this man is Special selected bij Gen Choi Hong Hi. And i think that Gen Choi knows what he let see to the people so they dont peform the wrong way!
@miekemeike17 I'm not trying to start something by any means, but the incorporation of the sine wave "bounce" isn't universal amongst ITF instructors. However, I will acknowledge that there's widespread disagreement about the practicality/aesthetic of it, so it seems that there's no single "correct" way. All in all though, arguing amongst ourselves isn't productive, as no one here is (probably) a grandmaster, and following our dojang's grandmasters is really the ONLY correct way to do things.

the bounces in his form are right, that's how the father of tkd itf intended it to be.
