  • This is exactly what debunkers do, take something that was shot on accident, and then try to recreate it by manipulating camera shots. You will get this effect when slowing down your shutter effect. But Jose Escamilla's shutter was set relatively high on his Cave of Sorrow's shot, meaning this proves, or disproves nothing. Do your research before looking like a moron.

  • Hahaha your'e sooo funny! You've successfully showed the world how closed your mind is! You must be smiling with your Christian buddies over this little joke. Jose Escamilla is brave. You are full of fear.

  • Yes be afraid those damn things carry all sorts of diseases like malaria dengi etc etc

  • this is a video of bugs = "rods" are much different !

  • @z1inspector No, please, let them confuse apples and oranges. It makes them and their fundamentalist mindsets feel better.

  • Fagg

  • They are bugs dumbass !!

  • Look like locusts

  • I got me a Rod that is simply Biblical...but I ain't postin' no vids of it!~

  • Only moronic ufo nuts, can photograph a bug, and call it an alien rod. Such silly people.

  • RODS travel at a speed excess of 2000 km a min.

  • Baby rods ? there are so many it would be possible to capture some with the right traps i guess

  • @Realmasterorder you are dumb as fuck, there just flies moron.bugs in general. its the low fps camera that makes them appear that way, dumbass.

  • @AdamGen88 I was asking a question in the case these were actuall rods, but since you were to bright to understand that u seem to be content with calling names someone you do not know anything about, even if the comment was not the most intelligent who the fuck are you to be the judge of Anything others say ?

  • liked for "I know but I won't tell"

  • alli se ven insectos normales y otros muy veloces y alargados, m sorprende q no haya colisiones entre ellos y las moscas q alli se ven.

  • хули ты взял бы сетку и поймал бы

  • It's what happens when you take a time exposure of flying insects. The the screw type shape that you see, is the result of seeing their wings flapping up and down into different positions, but all juxtaposed in time exposure.

  • Comment removed

  • It's an interesting camera effect, sort of like how wheels sometimes appear to move backwards on film. The extremely high rate of motion for the wings and the relative (to our eyes) low rate of recording of the camera create that illusion. Just go to a local pond with lots of mosquitos with a low-FPS recording device and check it out.

  • wow u should send this spot to nasa xD they sure bring a huge bug net xD

  • google flying rods

  • Catch them!

  • arghh!!! Midgies!

  • So if its not a flying rod..

why did you not catch it and take to NASA?

  • those are insects. i love insects.

  • Fuck I miss the good old analog days...

  • yu make the point

  • Every Fast flying Insect looks like this when its paused and zoomed!

  • omgosh!!!! lol

  • flies ..

  • I would want to debunk skyfish, but, it's already been done by scientists and photo experts.

  • i only believe in flying rods if they are huge and not right in front of the camera know y cuz if there right there thats what bugs look like flying past that close

  • A bunch of dragonflies copulating?

  • You're kidding right?! I mean, how could you think of them as anything else but bugs when there are thousands of other bugs flying around them?

It has been proven that 'rods' are nothing more than bugs imaged incorrectly by digital cameras.

  • oh serious,do you think that is a road !!!

  • @GonnaBeBetter no.... and that's a bit random if you don't mind me saying lol

  • Jose Escamilla just shat in his pants

  • Just flies, because of the exposure speed of the camera they make a motionblur

  • Nice clip - cheers

  • These are the babies. They must breed and hatch at that place.

  • LIE!

  • its a lie 0:53

  • im not going to call you a dumbass like everyone else, but a camera with a longer exposure time or maybe even a regular one will blur bugs and leave streaks that may be misinterpreted as rods

  • Ah thanks for posting this.

  • The rod's is 100% real and good to know there insect are still alive

  • you're really stupid!!! bugs captured with shit camera long exposure video

  • @nekkier09 and that is exactly what rods are! but high quality cams will produce the same effect.

  • hahaha!! awsome

  • maybe they're leaves

  • ANDRE,JUST BY SAYING STUPIDITY LIKE DUH i KNOW WHAT THE RODS ARE BUT I WONT TELL MAKE YOU A VERY GOOD CANDIDATE OF................COMMON BULLSHIT. YOU DO NOT KNOW SO STOP BECOMING THE STUPID AMERICAN AND FIX YOUR MAJOR MALFUNKTION ,MUST YOU BE THE ULTIMATE JACKASS?

  • @ELPerroBuddy63

Your a fucking idiot!!! you can tell they are just like may flies or somthing... some kind of bug. its right over the water, it looks like a good spot to go fishing... if you really think they are some supernatural being. maybe you should go back to school pablo you stupid fucking spick!!!

  • if they are dangerous wouldnt they already have whooped your ass when u shot the vid ? :P

  • These things are only flies

  • your camera is not fast enough to show that its a single insect only. By natural limitation of your camera, they have this elongated effect shown. Experiment with your camera.. Face it on a dark background and throw something small like a penny a little fast.. on the right timing you will see.. it will look like a flying rod. there is a term for this on the technical booklet of any video camera.. it will tell you at what speed of a moving object will you get this effect on the video.

  • get a net and go back when there in season!!!!

  • Do they get inhaled?!?!

You know, being of mysterious air and all....

  • MY GOD YOU HAVE BEEN CHEWING ROPE TOO LONG AND THINKING OF GAY SEX."RODS"

  • LOL

  • How can rods be dangerous??? They dont have mouths or mouthparts, they don't have like 4 or 6 legs, they don't even have eyes or 2, but they do have 2 sheets of wings at 2 sides and fly at high speed. Happy now?

  • Yeah, they are dragon flies that are mating ,each dragon fly has 2 sets of wings and occasionally you get 4 or 5 that are linked together fling around.

  • Thumbs down for not telling.

  • Catch it then show it fuckwad enough already

  • А что это тогда за насекомое такое ?

  • maybe you are dangerous....lol

  • I knew it all along. Those things are multiplying like crazy and it's getting close to 2012

  • this flying rod thing is so damn stupid

  • @maknitgape DITTOS, LEAVE THE FUCKING RODS ALONE!

  • that looks completely different than what rods look like, those where obviously just a bunch of mosquitoes or some other bugs.

  • Hahahaha

    Andre20002, you win the internets.

  • why dont you take a net and take one??? and the take picture of the animal...I don't undertstand...

  • This is due to a slow shutter speed causing the fast flying bug to be seen 6 times per frame. 30 frames per second. So it`s really one bug seen through six wing beats per frame. Since they are moving forward within that space of time, it makes it look like one bug.

  • bugs!

  • WOW... ZILLIONS of little baby Rods !!!

  • chuck norris

  • its a fly or mosquito or somthing gotta be

  • LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOLLLLOLOLOLOL!! some people will do anything for views on this fucking site. hahahahahahhaha soooo gay!

  • @andre20002 its a moth flying in fast motion right

  • it take 0,03333period to take capture 1 frame, in this time the bug make alot of wing moves, a bugs can have a wing movement of 1000hz think how much wings move it can be in one second captured on maximum 30 frames....

  • LOL! Its just little bugs flying over a swamp... and their size and speed make this effect on a camera that can only take between 25 and 30 images per second. I'll transpose this on the effect on google earth where u can see a ghost copy of a plane trailing the plan...u see that? :) there's no flying rods, each "spikes" along the rod is their wings caputured in different position during the capture of the frame...

  • OMG EVERYBODY DIE!!! :D

  • y doesn erry1 jus quit bitchin around?

  • those are just little bugs. Think about, theres a bitch load of them but no one had caught one? IMPOSSIBLE! little kids catch them while fishing, camping, etc. They are little bugs. BUT cameras make them seem like long snakes. example: GLOW STICK, move it across your face really fast. Its gonna look like a rod when it really isn't

  • It was not rods but flying exclamation points! The periods just could not keep up!

  • Just tell me what the hell is that you moron if don´t wanna get punched in the nose !!!!!

  • @flyofdamosquito fast bug

  • BREAK YO' SELF!!!

  • i guess i should go outside and record some insects flying really fast and then put it up on youtube claiming it to be an unknown entity

  • @eton900 I agree. This was debunked years ago. Its fast moving insects and the camera can't film them due to shutter speed. You can even see the slow moving ones hanging round the surface of the water.

  • @falzar101 i dont even get why thats so hard for people to understand

  • this is too much fail, hard to handle

  • Just tell uss

  • Jakun lah kau ni bodoh bahlul...

  • FAIL!!!! This is at regular speed. The Rods as they are called are not seen at all until the camera is slowed down. FAIL!!!! Nice try though...........

  • The problem is that they RODS (skyfish) are also filming in winter in cold weather. Insects are usually killed by cold weather. proof, this is amateur video. See from 27 seconds (on Youtube) /watch?v=vNg2yeol0t4

  • Hello,

Tell me please, have you ever shot this video - you have seen these SkyFish?

Thank you in advance for your reply!

  • This is increrable!!!!! Skyfish like water too ... may be

  • HOLY ROD FUCK!!! LOOK AT ALL THOSE FUCKING RODS!!!!!!!!

  • on future history books: "When humans first discovered the flying rods, they tought they were dangerous and even aliens"

  • male dragonflys hitched to a female dragon fly.

  • buy some pesticide killer and spray on them haha

  • lol. This made me smile.

  • MOSQUITOS-OLFARTT

  • Grab a specimen!

  • RUN! THEY WILL KILL YOU! :V

  • @LilSayo ... by infecting you with malaria!

  • Oh look lots of fast moving bugs which a camera cant follow with high speed recognition so it blurs the movement.

  • Why don´t you catch one so could be explained one mistery unsolved.

  • I'm not sure whether this will finally convince people that "flying rods" are just insects, or whether it will fuel the kooky world of cryptozoology. It's too easy for people to see what they want to see. You should have just caught one :(

  • dragonflies...

  • omg..

  • they're those annoying bugs that fly over swampy water on hot days, ur camera isn't high enough resolution to capture actual bug

  • There moth's!

  • Danke für dieses video:-)

  • gnats lol

  • this is stupid they nets bugs

  • type " skyfish - flying rods explained " in youtube to find the real explanation!

  • Bugs...

  • catch one

  • miskidos bugs

  • 12 of these residen with us.

  • i know but i wont tell----nur-nur-na nur-nur.....bloody well grow up......you're not the only one knows what they are.....

  • asshole

  • Thanks for finally solving the mystery! Now we can all move on...

  • @successadvanced How do you explain the ones over a hundred feet long? Do you have any idea how fast something has to travel to leave a speed trail a hundred feet long? Any bug traveling at such speed would be pulverized by the g forces alone.

You cant define your inquiry to any particular discipline, big questions require wide ranging scrutiny and no discipline should be disqualified from active consideration. Ernest Becker

  • @w4rdriver With forced perspective, you can turn something an inch long into a 100 feet.

  • Wow! Great!! 5 stars!!

I have seen in the verge.

    This is where taken?

You may be able to capture here...

  • This isn´t exactly Swallow Cave material...

  • These are insects of some kind! Some dude thought this was real and told me to watch it for evidence of "rods" hahaha!

  • They seem absolutely harmless, and even traveling at such a speed, I feel very certain that they can pass through solid objects without leaving a trace except through water for some odd reason as reported. Where and exactly when was this video taken? Are they still in the that same area?

  • @ThankYouESM fyi, there moths:) this was recorded with a regular camera, not a high speed camera, when an insect such as a moth pass thru the view, the speed is so great that the captured image doubles sometimes more them once and creates a long image of the moth as if placing 2, 4, 6, even 8 blurry images of the same moth connected to each other causing a "rod" like image. try this your self with anything fast such as a car and youll see the car double over and look as if it has 4 wheels:)

  • they should cach one lol

  • @johnpham117 They can't! They're alien and they're simply too damn fast. lmao. These are mosquitos... or as Thomas90247 calls them, 'miskidos'... lol

  • great video... :) mystery was discovered
