Securitization was not the problem. It was the poor quality of loans that were originated. This was facilitated by Fannie and Freddie being willing to buy these loans. For that, thank Barney Frank and Chris Dodd (democrats). "Reform" does nothing to reform Fan and Fred. They can still buy crap. Note - the big banks that were "bailed out," payed back the loans with interest. Don't look for any remuneration to taxpayers from Fan and Fred. Just more smoke and mirros from the White House. r

Left out is the roll played by government agencies like the Federal Reserve, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the Community Reinvestment Act. The government did everything it could to give Wall Street an incentive to take those risks. A genuine free market would never have let it happen. They're exploiting your fear of powers they themselves put in place to get you to give them more power - don't believe the propaganda.

obama's legacy includes being part of a political devaluation of banking standards that made banks loan money to high risk people seeking homes they could NOT afford and driving up home prices since the 90's. The Federal Government isn't as dumb as some might think. They knew about the banks taking unnecessary risks and were fine with it as long as they got their money from the banks. Only when their power is threatened do they do something about it. Do we need more regulation from those that helped create the problem? I think not.

Take "The Obama Deception" with a grain of salt and do your own research. I'm not saying the obama deception is completely false. They do make some good points in the film about the federal reserve that I believe deserves some looking into but that doesn't mean their is a gigantic conspiracy behind the government. Watch the film but also do your own research listen to both sides of the story and develop your own conclusion.
