Put the pipes edge in the middle of your lips, put the rest of the circumference to the tight or left side of your mouth and then blow air on the edge like if you were whistling.
It's not easy, it could take you some days even to produce a single sound.
hi ! you do it very well! I found out this technique like 3 months ago and I keep practicing, on every didge I can try it on. I just started making melodies, it's so hard to keep the sound accurate with tongue attacks !
I just published a tutorial video about it (but it's in french so)
What do your mouthiece look like ? I didn't figure out yet what kind of mouthpiece was the better for this, but I think the inside of the mouthpiece has to be as straight as possible... what do you think ?
@colasdidge: A completely stright pipe would be the better solution for this. To keep the sound accurate with tongue attacks I'd suggest to learn some bulgarian kaval, in which you use fast tongue staccato... Or some beatbox would be useful as well. I personally am mixing many wind instruments techniques. :-)
Je parle français mais maintenant je ne peut pas ecouter ton vidéo, des que je n'ai pas mon ordinateur. Je vais le voir le moins prochain (et le commenter). A bien tot!
hehe sounds more like a fujara! :D
