The food shortage that is coming will be due to several things. This was a very small part of what is coming. the average age of a farmer is 58. the farm land is shrinking. In California, there is a valley that can not irregate because of a small fish. The farms are dying, and once they are gone they will not come back. Corn prices are sky rocketing ! Gas prices are geting higher here in washington st 3.20 gal for gas, desiel is 3.50 gal and when the gas prices get high the farmers pay more for the gas and this inturns cost more for the tractors gas or desiel and then the corn has to be dryed with desiel fired dryers and passing the cost on to us.
