My ex-flatemate Peter did the animation for the Jonsi Live tour & DVD. I watch this when I miss him as i'm sure many others do. He was incredibly talented, I was honoured to live with him for a while. His creative mind was incredible. I see his spirit in this clip.
Everytime i listen to this i can feel a white light shine from the depths of the city of Dublins soul and with it, it rises like an earthquake cleansing the souls of every Man, Woman, Child, Animal and Plant nearby. Suddenly its gone and all that is left is this beautifal city, all is silent, all is stunned, all is forever grateful for the peace and beauty that we fail to see around us evry single day....Thankyou Jonsi, You have opened eyes!!
many times I wonder if this is reality or not. if he can expresses these things, is because these things exist? or is him a liar? i trust jónsi feels what he does, then this living feeling should be real, and now, I'm and alive and strong, at least until the end of song...
Love this song. I have Lupus and on those days that I cannot even phathem how I am gonna get through it, my sons put this song on and dance around our living room like lil butterflies to lift my spirits. Thank you for a lovely song and hope that one day we will find a cure.
I was lucky enough to see this live in London. The whole theatre just stood there in silence, most with their mouths open, in absolute awe at what was unfolding in front of them. Truly, in every sense of the word, amazing.
This 9 minutes are the best to forget all the terror, all the crisises and to seperate from reality. Great job Jonsi and band. This song is unike. Cheers!
there is so much healing energy in this and i'm usually sobbing by the time the guitar comes in and then cry more....i was diagnosed with ms a few years ago and sometimes i just want to give up but when i listen to this i feel like i'm transported into a different world and i don't even care about pain or dying or anything else....i'm a musician too and this inspires me to go on and do what i can do while i still am able and maybe it will get better and maybe it won't....but thank you

@lenalena111 yeah!!!!1 really i love this man, his music and specially this song makes me remember my past and makes me cry, words still little when i discribe what this song makes me feel
My father was just diagnosed with cancer. Since then, I've had Sigur Ros and Jonsi's solo projects on repeat. It is the only thing that keeps my head clear. This song gives me hope and inspiration. I can't help but cry when I hear this.. It's so powerful..
@michellemag83 this music has helped me through so much. i hope he gets better. i'm sorry. i know what you mean of the clarity and cleansing this music offers...i met him. jonsi. in a college radio station in berkeley...i had so much thanks to give him, an entire monolgue i had written in my mind the night before.but i could only shake his hand and say thank you....we stared intensely at each other in silence for 15 seconds and he hugged me and said thank you back. he knows.
@winstonsmithsixtyeig take care. the only other music i can offer you is riceboy sleeps (also jonsi) the dirty three-whatever you love you are. a silver mt. zion-he has left us alone but shafts of light sometimes grace the corners of our room.
@winstonsmithsixtyeig What an amazing privilege you had to meet such an amazing man. Thank you for the kind words. I hope that one day I can meet him as well. :)
It was a shame that Jonsi's concert in Houston was pretty empty, pretty few people came to the concert. I live in Houston but I never change the idea that I live in a cowboy city. The concert was amazing!!!! I hope sigur rus come one day to Texas! I will be there!!!
Ended up crying when they played this in melbourne. Didn't realise till that last note that i'd lost feeling in my body, and i'd been swaying more and more intensely throughout the whole build. Absolutely incredible.
I saw this live. If I could suspend time I would live in this moment, for the fleeting quality of time leaves you behind when it is done, and all you want is to just get back there.
It's impossible to describe how incredible Jonsi is live. I saw him twice last year, and it was literally the most spiritual experience I have ever had. The man is untouchable.
That song could have been three times as long and been all the more awesome! Even at just over nine minutes I still felt it was like: Intro, Verse, Chorus and over! I loved every minute!
I saw him play at Bestival and Latitude last year. Both times after the gig I literally couldnt move. I was in awe. And you could see everyone else was feeling the same. Was dead silent after, incredible.
When I saw this song live, I literally could not stop smiling. I think everyone must have thought I was on drugs, cause that goofy grin just didn't go away until the song ended.
