It is possible in Photoshop but the method would be to complex, check the description for a link to a tutorial I made for doing this in Blender. Blender can be downloaded for free :)
It is doable in photoshop tho i would seriously advise against it. Bendy sabres, computers dying and about 3 days of working on and off to get a minute or so of footage. If you want to do it properly use software like Adobe Aftereffects or Blender (3d animation software) the results are much better!

For the last bloody time it was done in BLENDER! I did use the RAW clip from FxHome but the effects and sounds are all done in blender.

It is actually Blender, I just used the demo clip that came with EffectsLab. But all the effects where done in Blender.
Have a look at the tutorial if you don't believe me.

Yes it is from FXHome, but Blender is a completely different piece of software. I just didn't have another clip of people dueling to test this on.
