I just felt like listening 2 this 2day; I really like this song, I think she should release all her unreleased songs one day in an album, I hope she will
i just wanna point out that it has been confirmed this was recorded for in the zone. so was chaotic. someday and mona lisa were for original doll though!
Can't believe how these "fans" think they know a lot. Work for Blackout started in 2006 and finished in 2007. This song together with Chaotic, And Then We Kiss and Idk if any others were recorded in 2003 for In The Zone. Mona Lisa, recorded in 2004, is the only officially released song (on Britney & Kevin: Chaotic and the Someday single) from her 2005 scheduled album Original Doll and any other leaked 2005 song was for that album. Hope that clears everything up, sorry for all those dates.
I would also like to add that it WAS released, it was planned to be in In The Zone, but was released on Japan version of single "Someday (I Will Understand)", as well as on the DVD/CD UK and Japan versions of the reality show "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic." I'm not even such a huge Britney fan, but info is readily available at wikipedia people, don't post songs naming them UNRELEASED if they actually were.
This was written by Sigsworth (from Frou Frou) and Swedish awesomely insane singer Robyn, and also it was produced by awesome singer Imogen Heap (at the time also in Frou Frou), so one could only expect this to be mind blowing, which it actually is <3
Well, I loved all the songs, but this album is made by a fan, Britney didn't do anything about it, she was working on her real unreleased album "the Original Doll" which is confirmed in interviews..
@RuuBjAh1 LOL. That's what I heard anyway. Kind of makes sense: 'It's kind of hard to find the entrance, you need some juice but you'll love it once you get there... It's in the basement...'
One thing I love about Britney is that her music has ALWAYS been innovative. All pop stars today take inspiration from her music. If she released this song now, it would still be ahead of the game and it's from 2006.
@oxxmiranda I see what you mean and I agree, the music she preforms is very innovative and risk taking. However she doesn't write these songs, someone else does, she just preforms them. I love Britney Spears too but I have to say I think her writers are the legendary ones.
@00GreyEyedGirl00 she writes a lot of her own songs, it's not her fault if they're not all released or singles. and she produces more than the average artist! just because she's not credited as writing the lyrics, does not mean she doesn't have to work at the song just as much, if not more. AND i've also seen producers talk about her and say she does a lot of her own songs and how they're not sure why she doesnt always take the credit she deserves on the credits in the albums.
since theres so many britney clones trying to make it big and we all know who im talking to britney should release the original doll becuase thats what she is
yeah but it was included in the original doll......girls and boys and over to you now are leftovers of in the zone-but they were included in the in the zone dvd.....
Original Doll was the name, not Can You Handle Mine. But she got pregnant so they scrapped it, so instead of a full length album they released a remix album instead.
She began work on her fifth album in 2005, it was too be called "The Original Doll". Whens he got pregnant with her first child she canceled the project, and none of the songs have appeared on any other albums.
@candypop290 Mona Lisa, Chaotic and Over to You Know were on the Someday EP, but that is not a full fledged album. They are the only three Original Doll songs to be physically released.
@HoennMaster actually, Over To You Now is not from Original Doll, based on a Wikipedia Article of Britney's unreleased songs, OTYN failed to make it to Blackout.
@HoennMaster It wasn't recorded in 2005. Just because it was released in 2005, doesnt mean it was recorded then. This song was meant for In The Zone, produced by Guy Sigsworth, but wasn't included on the album.
@roguekid431221 Type properly. And yeah, Britney did give a reason. When she got pregnant she said she was putting her career on hold to start a family.
That's some illuminati shit right there. Britney left the cult and wanted to speak out against them with The Original Doll but they censored her and scrapped the album! Britney was the one who leaked Mona Lisa to radio! LISTEN TO THE LYRICS PEOPLE. They censored MJ too, and fucked up his life and career. They did the same to Brit. She shaved her head for a symbolic reason idiots, people just don't go shaving their heads out of the blue.
it is actually "original doll" and not "can you handle mine",,, I love the fact that die hard fans totally know about this unreleased project lol I love "over toi you"! at first I remember I felt weird to me but then I was like.. OBSSESED WITH IT O.o
Awesome! But I think the name of the album was gonna be Original Doll and not Can You Handle Mine... But Awesome though :) This album would have been amazing... Just wish she could finish it :)
An extended play (EP) is a vinyl record, CD, or music download which contains more music than a single, but is too short to qualify as an Album (LP).
Usually, an EP has around 1028 minutes of music, a single has up to 10 minutes, and an album generally has 3080 minutes. Mini-LPs generally contain 2030 minutes of music.
Personally I think the best thing about this track is the fact that that Imogen Heap co-wrote and provide back ground vocals and her former Frou Frou partner Guy Sigsworth produced it.
question: isn't the unreleased album called "original doll" rather than "can you handle mine"??
