  • hehehe.,filipinoes are used to this kind of skills.,

  • hahahahaha, fuck yeah !

  • i used a big set of water pump pliers worked just as well

  • Good vid helped me alot !!! .... Keep makin vid !!

  • Thank you for sharing bro, it helped me a lot. I could remove it easily that way with the same tools. Very practical skills to fix the bike surelly and to avoid wasting much time if you want or need to get a ride soon. Greetings from Argentina

  • "Coz u don't wanna fuck this cassette up"

    lol, love it! :P

  • yep a real money saver I'll buy a £30 monkey wrench instead of the £2 for the little tool to do the job properly! If you're saving on labour at the bike shop at least buy the right tools and do the job well - also saves loads of time arsing about.

  • @nurseduckett he was probably assuming that you are a real man with tools. He should definetly make an official apology to you for assuming such a thing.

  • "You don't want to fuhck this cassette up"

  • I actually think this is very informative, because sometimes when you are in a rush and you want to get something off, but you don't have the tools, you need to figure it out ad hock. Crude, but at least now if I was in a tight spot, I'd be able to take of a cassette, and yes those are specialty tools, but they are more common than bike tools lying around the shop.

  • don't let this guy near your bike

  • This technique fucking sucks and will break and loosen the bearings. This guy doesnt know what hes talkin about so dont do it. Spend the money and get the tool

  • hey eso afectaria los dientes del piñon para su uso futuro

  • @gi0vanni888 you could ride your bike to the shop

  • A freewheel remover only costs about 8 bucks.

  • @curablefury and the gas in your tank to drive to the assholes at the bike shop. no thanks, i rather improvise.

  • how to destroy your freehub

  • Let me know when u find a way to do this with duct tape and a rubber band!

  • Thew whole attitude here and in the new DIY culture is that it's OK to be broke but unacceptable to be stupid.

Lots of people think the other way around.

  • Great way to damage cassette. Like the effort though.

  • Butcher!

  • This worked great for me. Thanks man... i was getting pissed off all day lol. Thanks for this video.

  • The Butcher way... lols xD

  • cus that won't fuck the cassette at all, thanks mate

  • Good tip. Thank u

  • this is so gangsta

  • ayy check in next week homie so I can cho you how to take off this other crazy lookin shit dahh

  • im very cunfused about free wheel can some 1 explain plz

  • @immortal6604

freewheel, freebase iss all da same fukin chit mane!

  • My way is easier. Just buy a new rim. They don't come with a cassette.

    Badda Bing Badda Boom.

  • Yo! Adrian!!! Adrian!!

  • ?Can you put a cassette on a front hub? bmx

  • Hacksaw. Did he say hacksaw? Seductive the dark side is!

  • One of the basic rules of highly productive (and destructive) people: never stop until something breaks - either man or machine.

  • dude, these vids are the most real shit out there!

    Thanks for the tutorial, bro

  • Shade tree still lives! Love this sh*t, get's the job done, but I don't think he's doing the tour de France.

Seriously though, change the battery in your smoke detector. Especially since you keep bringing up 'blunt's ...

  • Didn't work for me. Couldn't get the lockring to budge at all.

  • butcher

  • nigga done fixed his bike

  • hate those special tools! how can small piece of metal adapting thing cost 10$ on ebay or 30 at retailers! thankyou :) im honna go and clean my cassettes right now !

  • Good video, I always wondered how those shits come off. Yo you gotta replace that battery bro. Fires are a killer. Peace

  • Tell it like it is bro!

  • is there even a easier way then this... because i fucken cant do it

  • two werds... fank you

  • Just what I needed...

    Thanks Dude =P

  • when i remove my mountain bike casette i remove all the sprockets at onece they are all linked up and all you have to do is tap the ring that screws in and that to the other bikes????

  • Thanks Buddy. Saved me a couple dollars. And I need it!

  • awesome, it actually worked !

  • why dont you just take it to a bike shop and have us do it in a few minutes with a minimal charge?

your going to end up paying more if you break your cassette anyway

  • Brilliant! All I own is a pipe wrench, hammer and blunt chisel so I’m sorted - and I don’t want to fu*k my cassette up (take my cr-ap off) – I had to watch this clip four times cause I couldn’t take it all in the first three – possibly cause I kept missing bits whilst I was rolling about on the floor laughing. I want to see more, seriously! All right man? Thanks.

  • when u hit the screwdriver with the hammer what is that u r hitting????

  • I've tried to do that but the ring won't come off. I hammered it in a savage way that only someone's mother would know. but the ring won't come off

  • Didn't you have to put a spline tool into the cassete where the axle is suppose to be at. I have an old swchinn and I cant do what your doing.

  • Its a Jersey Thang.

  • 54 people break the wheel and make a bloody mess with their hands and feet!! Respect again!! :P

  • Hey men respect , but you are a kaffir Kafros , savage. This is the way how the old bicycle workmen do it!!! of course you much have very good skills with your tools!! Its a good way for rescue missions on trip or somethink that you dont have every tools with you!! do it like MacGyver!!

  • fuckink wronk/// :@

I cant fuck it out.. cras$ my bike.. :@

  • hahaha I like this doods style.

  • Wow, nice way to deform the sprocket teeth by not using a chain whip. Don't do this guys, buy the proper tools.

  • La Cosa Nostra bike maintenance... XD

  • Comment removed

  • change your smoke alarm battery. also buy some bike tools. also stop using meth.

  • Lol. This guy sounds like a tweeker.

  • making spacers, dude there like a pound each.

  • @06DRender

    You're a fuckin' idiot.

  • @meinLiebsterFeind well why would yo want to make a spacer when you can buy them cheep..

  • @06DRender

y would u want to buy something, and bring new crap into the world, crap that was made by little asian kids? when the shit is free?

  • @meinLiebsterFeind get a fucking life, its allready been made for people to buy. fuckinghell. why would yo make a spacer if you could buy them, its fucking pointless

  • @06DRender

yo you ignorant fuck, if the demand would go down, they'd stop trying to supply so many of them.

  • befrore he's got the pipe wrench on, me and my chainwhip and cassette removal tool had it off.

  • Like when you're fingering your GF's pussy, "you wanna be somewhat delicate"... hehe

  • @TVismyopiate That's exactly what I thought, because you don't want to fuck up that cassette. :D

  • Thanks mate! top man!!!

  • JUICEJEAD!!!!!!!!!

  • Isn't a very large pipe wrench a specialty tool?

  • The heart surgery comment, i read it in the morning eating breakfast, it made my day, what a riot,Thanks .

  • you dont want to use a chizel or nothing, cause u dont want to fuck this cassete up or nothing ... that made my day

  • nice, too bad my bike i worked on was so rusted up when i did that the shit broke anyway haha

  • dirty hipster

  • this is a good series of instructionals. you get' an A

  • Ok, I tried this a while back. I did the same thing here, except for the fact that the sprockets would not budge in THE LEAST. Sparks were literally flying because of the friction. I don't really want to buy a chain whip, so is there anything I can do?

  • Somewhat Delicate :)

  • baby joker

  • Now I know why they say there are correct tools for every job. Thanks for reminding me why.

  • @ukfan4sure1 now go forth and change the world, with tools and whips!!

  • Thanks man! Now instead of my customers buying a $7 cassette tool, I can sell them a new hub! Maybe now my kid can go to collage...

  • not the safest thing to do... dont be a jew. just buy a rear wheel.

  • I´ve tried it 30 minutes ago - it works! :D

Because of you I saved 65$ - thanks!

  • thanks

  • hmm. Sorry, I'm speechless.

  • is that rudy from Love Line?

  • This is supposed to be a joke, right?

  • After watching this, I'm going to make a video to repair everything with an acetylene torch. No special tools, just a welding mask, cloak, gloves and an Oxy-acetylene torch. Broken dishwasher - torch it. Broken LCD screen - torch it. Broken arm - torch it.

  • You should change the title of the video:

How to screw your cassette without special tools

  • the massive spanner no special tools lol.

  • @welcome2my2ndlife it will depending of your gearing ratio

  • Assuming that the person fixing the bike is the cyclist then a giant pipe wrench would be a "special" tool.

  • Dont fuck it up LOL thanks man

  • Good lookin bro but all i needed was to knw how to remove the lock thanks u should of just bought a new fixie star thats what i did!

  • i have a cassete removal tool with a 1/2" drive direct fit for socket driver. the cassete tool secured to my old sram cassete on a hope pro 2 rear hub without slipping but on my xt hub the tool needs to be secured with the skewer to prevent tool from slipping. is the tool not as good fit because of the hub being different or the cassete. why was the tool secure fit on my old setup of hope hubs and sram cassete but new xt hub and sram casset the tool slips of more easily.

  • all this to save 5 dollars on a cassete....

  • i try that and cut me really hard in my left hand - ouch! but nice show.

  • How do u get the lockring off?

  • i agree backyard mechanics are your enemy. i went to bike way in wpengers falls new your and they took off my casset and put it on my new rim for free and i bet most bike shops would do it for free if you asked nicley

  • This reminds me of my video on heart surgery. First I use a jigsaw to cut through the ribs and sternum and all that shit. Then I open it all up and there's the heart, just sittin' there, pumpin' away.

Next week I'll post a video showing how I fixed the arterial blockage, or just replaced the whole thing or some shit...

  • @hagenar lol I died laughing off of this comment :-D

  • @hagenar FOFL dude - nice one!

  • @hagenar ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hahahaha hilarious!

  • @hagenar you, sir, won the internet!

  • backyard mechanics are the enemy.

  • thats how us kids from the ghetto bust that shit.........only we have that kind of common sense to be able to use tools like that.....

  • funny ass video man

    hahahahahahahah

shits tight thanks for the help

  • With a walmart bike maybe but a xtr wheelset/cassette no.

  • sounds like his smoke detector is about out of batteries. The one in my living room was like that for almost half a year, and I started to just ignore it, so that my freinds would come over and get annoyed and I had no idea what they were getting upset about. I wonder if this guy has also forgotten that it is beeping?

  • Dude I had to do similar at times when I did not have proper tools.

  • he did that very somewhat delicate

  • very helpful , thank you :)

  • Informative

  • something blunt hmmmmmmmmmmm could i do it with like a crow bar

  • ougly ass pasteec coover/ beaner

  • those are only with the cheap cassettes, if you have a good one i recomend you just take it to a shop, that'll remove and replace for 10$

  • i want to turn my CAMPAGNOLO EURUS into a fixie<~~~

    i need help

  • Great alternative usage of tools you have to solve a problem you just might meet once only.

  • thank you.you helped me a lot.

  • stupid idea !!! Cheap guy!!!! You'll fuck up the cog and the hub body....

  • This guy is strait out of hialeah, all of this cuban enguinity is what got us all to Miami, and he def needs to change the battery in the fire detector. Its amazing he didnt make the bike out of 3 pieces of 2x4 and a broom stick. Hes the cuban MacGyver.. LOL Good luck buddy let me know when you get through so i can see you on er trauma.

  • like tha way you talk man

  • The easiest way for me to remove a freewheel is to take an old socket just about the size of the center and after removing the axle and bearings, bang it in just enough to catch the splines. Then I'd simply put a socket wrench on it and usually it'd come loose with no problem. That was before then I came up with the idea of taking an old three-piece crank arm and welding a bolt to it with the right sized head.

  • ''and now im gonna look at the proper way to do it so i can find a butcher version'' lol ace

  • lol thx

  • Apart from all the other things wrong with this, that huge pipe wrench probably costs four times what a chain whip would! Brilliant.

  • @potatopipes It's also a much more common thing. A lot more people own pipe wrenches than they do bicycle tools.

  • It would be wise to put a section of chain around the cassette to protect the teeth from being damaged from the pipe-wrench. Unless you don't care about them? Also, you can pretty much dumpster a track hub fairly easy, or get a used on Ebay for 10-15 bucks... This shit made sense 15 years ago, but today this is just a silly way to spend your time. Time = money and if you have gainful employment I can't imagine how this could be worth doing?

  • "you dont wanna fuck this cassette up" lol fuckin funny guy...

  • he is gordon freeman

  • If this isn't a joke video, you are asking for a darwin award.

  • Big difference between freewheels and cassette hubs.

    Cassette lockring removers are $5.

You can use 1 1/8 threadless headset spacers to position the favorite cog where you like, and the lockring to secure it. You may need the 11 tooth and lockring to secure it.

You can braze the freewheel body, or cassette hub body, to the hub, but you should lubricate the hub properly 1st. may not b able to remove axle components later that may be trapped under the cassette hub body (the splined part).

  • Great video! Straight to the point.

  • is this universal for most wheels?

  • my cassettes is broken i think :/ when i ride sometimes it stops and just keep spinning what should i change? the wheel or the cassette

  • @korgpadude hub i would think, so when your pedaling the cassete keeps spinning right? The hub is what freewheels so it would be the hub thats busted

  • @korgpadude hub

  • lool dude you are fucking funny straight up, you sound italian or latino

  • legend

  • I used your approach with the 3 tools on hand to take off the free wheel on a 17.5 lb metal plate (wheel) that came out of an exercise/stationary bike. Now I can use it for weight lifting and at $1/lb new, I just saved myself $17. Thanks a lot.

  • Yo son, you can remove the cassette without the pipe wrench... keep the wheel on the bike and use the existing chain with yer foot on the pedal yo! give it a coupla smacks with a hammer and chisel or other flat piece o steel to loosen the lock ring.

  • @ 0.58...lolol!!! Don Corlione.."coz u dont wanna fuck dis cassette up..'kapiche?"

  • You got heaps of F&^KING s*it in your workshop why don't you get a spare piece of chain. Small piece of metal. Weld yourselves up a "CHAIN WHIP". Grab that cassette by the boo boo. Question: "If he wanted to make fixie why would he want to keep the cogs from the cassette he just butchered?" Bike tools cost as much as a couple of beers. Who cares. 5 bucks for most bike tools!! Chain tool , F*&ked Up tool to get your crank off. 2hrs of f#$%ng around or 5 bucks???

  • @MrRandomposter hahaha! too true!

  • Change the Batteries on your Smoke Detector!!!!

  • dude tanx for this video u made me save a lot of money :)

  • Aaaand here we have disassembly of a freewheel, not removal of a cassette. Don't need a chain whip to take a freewheel off, man. Just a $15 tool or the bolt from a caterpillar like in your other vid (because everyone has one of THOSE around).

  • a new wheel is going to be much cheaper then the medical bills from when your franken-hub fails and you coast into an intersection.

  • lol where the fuck am i gonna get that big of a plumber wrench lol no special tooools ?

  • @bLoodr420

and that tool costs about just as much as a chain whip... WTF?

  • No special tools...?? lol who the hell has a pipe wrench laying around hahaha

  • @some170 lol yeah lets trade an obscure tool for another bigger obscure tool ^-^

  • @some170 I do

  • this guy cant explain shit!!!!!!!!!!! just shut up and shoe a close up of what ur doing geeeez!

  • how about instead of putting money into meth and tatoos put $20 into a chain whip and a freehub lock nut removal tool. Jesus man ur a fockn butcher.

  • Nice accent! Where are you from? Nice video. Cheers, gaston from Argentina.

  • lmao @ dont wanna fook up yer cassette

i know, lets hold it with a pipe wrench that wont fook it up

im gonna have to do the same thing cause none of my local bike shops have the lock ring tool

  • this is class, I am going to do it right now, I've got 2 spoke broken on that side, so the cassette will have to come off, great stuff..

  • Fucking Animal!!!

  • Fucking Animal!!!

  • awesome!!

    thanks dude

  • You can buy a cassette removal tool and not ruin your screwdriver and cogs. The specialty tool option is cheaper in the long run.

  • Funny and informative. thank you!

  • change your fire alarm battery hahah sounds like when fire alarms die

  • The method you used with the screw driver and ballpeen hammer, is called drifting. I use it all the time with bikes. Saves me loads of money.

  • cruuuuuuuuuuude!

  • Comment removed

  • uhh yeah cause everyone has a pipe wrench lying around

  • you dont?

om ygod I buy those every week how can you not have any its as essential as air & water!

JK I got that problem too Im trying to take the plastic dork disc off my hub, I just need a chainwhip or something like it...

  • make one!

  • ok, so even though you live in your moms basement, dont know shit about bikes, and spent all your dough on new jordans....the cassette tool you can order for 6 dollars. you can make your own whip out of an old chain and a piece of metal. google how they look. drill 3 holes in the metal, use a chain tool to put it on the metal piece. or buy an ice toolz whip for 8 dollars. now you the right tools for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. put your gay meth head uncles pipe wrench back in his tool box. the end

  • thanks chad

  • be somewhat delicate with a hammer haha. dunno why you would bother to do it yourself though, got it done at a shop for 40 bucks including chain sprocket and spacers
