I *hate* how these talking heads laugh at the idea that a free market works, or when they suggest that capitalism is to blame. What we have in the USA currently is not free market capitalism, and we need big business and big government to get the hell out of our economy and out of our lives.
Barr, you make me sick! You called for Clinton's impeachment before you got busted by Larry Flynt for the same damn thing you accused Clinton! When is the Lib party going to stop housing rejects from the Democrat & Republican parties and find a real candidate that can win? Who's next to join, John Edwards?? Sen.Mike Gravel should have won the nomination. It is disgusting that Barr became the nominee and this is why no one takes the 3rd party seriously anymore!
Frankly, after all I've seen and heard, I don't give a damn who becomes POTUS. You Americans are about the DUMBEST PEOPLE ON EARTH!!! You're so lazy and selfish that you'll allow these Republican and Democrat politicians sucker you so bad with false promises and double talk in every election while the Libertarians are right there saying what you don't want to here. You don't deserve any freedom. You deserve only what you're about get.
Mr. Barr, I think you are right on most of the issues. But you've got to realize that the liberal media is using you as a tool to assault the republican campaign.
You've got to know that there is no chance the libertarians will win a presidency in this 2 party system and as a result this simply helps promote socialism.
IMHO the way for the libertarians to get a president in office is to do what the socialists did; put a socialist in the democrat party and drive him up.
If only newscasters could interview Obama and McCain this way instead of just third party candidates. If only Obama and McCain could answer as directly to the questions like Congressman Barr did compared to their usual ignoring the questions and delivering their memorized soundbites....
It's a shame Barr had such a massive lapse of judgement, blowing off Campaign For Liberty's third party press conference. It would have been great if all of Ron Paul's support could have gotten behind one candidate...
Do simulcasts during the O'Cain debates answering the same questions on YouTube or CSpan, or any other network that will allow it. The time of blacking out other points of view is over.
Why hasn't the Community Reinvestment Act been repealed?
Why aren't Federal authorities going after people in the same manner they pursued Martha Stewart??
This housing market has been heading down (actually, this market is great for those that SAVE money) since 07, it was only after the Bear Stearns bailout that the house of cards collapsed.
(My father, 90 years old, did not believe in ANY form of Debt or Credit. Purchases all homeS up front with cashier's checks)
This is what I dislike about modern journalists. If I was in Barr's place I would have said flat out. "There isn't a short term solution for this problem. It's going to take year's to undo the damage that government meddling has done." That's what the real problem is here; looking for a short term fix without thinking about the long term cost.
Yay universal health care, because it's a short term solution but in the long term there will be rationing and waiting lists.
MRLArkin, agreed 100%. Artificial loosening of credit got us into this mess and now with the bailout thats exactly what govt's trying to do again. They haven't learned a thing.
Tight credit is a natural market tendency and a part of the business cycle (extreme in this case), but eventually a cooling off period will get the markets back on track and lending will resume.
That's not going to happened now. This problem has just been stretched out thanks to Washington.
Epic fail. No mention at all of the federal reserve inflating the economy through ridiculously low interest rates. If McCain is a moderate republican then Barr is a moderate libertarian. I really hate my choices this fall.
People would rather vote for McCain because they say he can win, as long as we vote fr who we think can win rather than ho is the best person for the job we will never get anywhere.
He ends with "I promise we will see you again soon" to Mr Barr-lets hope so!! no matter who you are voting for its good to get a voice that sounds different in the arena- Mcbama is a sh#t sandwich- different bread.. not really -different meat... not really and it taste the same-like sh*t - I prefer the taste of liberty love Ron Paul but he's a douche for endorsing the wrong guy-lets hope the NRA doesn't fag out on our Hero !! Let freedom ring with a shotgun blast!!! -MachineHEad
Bob Barr is certainly better than McBama, but I'm afraid he hasn't earned my complete trust yet. Paul has a much better understanding of economics so I'm going to be writing in Dr. Ron Paul come this November.
I'm not sure if it's different in different states but from what I understand here, a write-in for Ron Paul isn't going to be counted as a vote. So therefore I'm voting for Bob Barr. I agree with you than Ron Paul most certainly is better though.
The smug ass on CNN tried his hardest to get Bob Barr to squirm, but Bob Barr did not flinch. I'm seriously considering having my vote go to the Libertarian Party's Bob Barr! Great job!
wow, John Roberts, calm down.

I would like that pundit to tell me what Obama or McCain have said that even remotely resembles a plan of what to do about this economy.
Even if they did try to give one, it will be retarded because they were both big supporters of the bailout/free money for the
big boys out of the pocket of the people plan
