Mr. Barr, I think you are right on most of the issues. But you've got to realize that the liberal media is using you as a tool to assault the republican campaign.

You've got to know that there is no chance the libertarians will win a presidency in this 2 party system and as a result this simply helps promote socialism.

This is what I dislike about modern journalists. If I was in Barr's place I would have said flat out. "There isn't a short term solution for this problem. It's going to take year's to undo the damage that government meddling has done." That's what the real problem is here; looking for a short term fix without thinking about the long term cost.

Yay universal health care, because it's a short term solution but in the long term there will be rationing and waiting lists.

MRLArkin, agreed 100%. Artificial loosening of credit got us into this mess and now with the bailout thats exactly what govt's trying to do again. They haven't learned a thing.

Tight credit is a natural market tendency and a part of the business cycle (extreme in this case), but eventually a cooling off period will get the markets back on track and lending will resume.

That's not going to happened now. This problem has just been stretched out thanks to Washington.

Bob Barr is certainly better than McBama, but I'm afraid he hasn't earned my complete trust yet. Paul has a much better understanding of economics so I'm going to be writing in Dr. Ron Paul come this November.
