Back in the day, this song was on the soundtrack to a movie about a pot-head that signed with Collingwood. And to this day I'm still a Collingwood supporter, I don't remember the name of the movie. I saw it on HBO, and was my introduction to Aussie Rules. Does anybody remember the name of the movie? I'm wondering if it's available on DVD.

if you don't know this song you don't belong in our country. it is not only an afl anthem it is an australian anthem. this is one of two afl song's the other being holy grail by hunters and collectors every afl support can sing and won't have a go at each other we will join together and start singing no matter who we support cause it unites us. it is absolutly appaluing that neither of those songs where played at last years grand final. afl lift your game.

i took my australian born wife to a grand final in 1998 when the adelaide crows won back to back and when this song was playing tears welled up in her baby blue eyes and she sang along with a passion in her voice as i held her hand. i am orignally from ireland and i sang this song when the hawthorn hawks won six premierships including back to back from 1978-1991. aussie rules football is awesome and a true australian treasure. it really is the backbone of our culture.
