I prefer Casey Novak any day! I looked at Alexandra Cabot as a stuck up ADA and I don't like stuck up people, let alone stuck up ADAs. This was like the perfect scene to kill off the character of Alexandra Cabot permanently. Its a shame she wasnt written out of the show for good.

I just recently became a Law & Order SVU fan, and I've never seen this episode. In all the marathons I've watched of this show, I've never seen them air this one. :( Looks like a good episode, and I LOVE Alex Cabot! She's my favorite A.D.A. on the show.

Hmarkas, its basic first aid. you tell someone else to call 911 because you're supposed to be monitoring their abc's so if they stop breathing or lose consciousness you can start cpr or rescue breaths

To protect his partner and have her back. Also, because of the way the camera shows, you can't really tell where Alex is, though you obviously think she's behind him when the shots go out and Olivia is right next to Elliot, so he goes for the person closest for him and dives to the ground.

i'm not so sure about this whole alex/olivia relationship thing... coz the great thing about law & order [all of them, svu, ci & original] is that they tend to keep away from going into the characters personal lives in depth... it irritates me sometimes how they show elliot's family... but its always relevant. this show isnt a romance show and they aren't going to make it one.

In SVU the characters personal lives affect the way the detectives (& ADA's) handle each case. for example: olivia can get close (emotionally) with the vics because she herself is the product of a rape. el wants 2 try & protect the kids because he is a father.

To me this is the most memorable SVU episode ever.

This was indeed a very sad scene. By the end of the episode I was in tears...

This scene is one of the best and most bittersweet scenes on SVU. As a diehard Alex/Olivia shipper it still gets to me. However i like that they had Liv tending to Alex and calling her sweetheart. ;) As for whether or not the blood was fake, judging from the sling Alex was wearing at the end of this episode, the blood was definitely real IMO at least.
