  • The first gospel concert I ever went to featured this lineup of Gold City. They always sounded great together. Love this song and this lineup.

  • For some reason I almost defended myself...good ole pride, I guess. Suffice it to say I had a blast with those guys and knew going in I wouldn't please everyone. Thanks for the compliments and the criticisms...

  • @MrDavid7hill What have you been up to lately Mr. Hill?

  • @MrDavid7hill Mr. Hill in all honesty listenin to you and Jon i cant tell much of a difference. ya he may have a higher voice but you always held your notes out longer. but God blessed BOTH of you with amazing voices! i enjoy the videos your in as well as the ones he are in. God Bless!

  • Gold City Nostalgia !!! Mega Song !!!

  • I too liked this guy very much. Gold City leads have to have the range of a tenor. That was his undoing.

  • @lonemapper, You are absolutely right. Gold City's voicings are very much like the old Blackwood Brothers. Bill Shaw was such a high tenor, and lead singer, James Blackwood, could just about match him note for note. In fact, James Blackwood always ended "I'll Meet You in the Morning" by singing a D-flat above high C. Jay Parrack and Jonathan Wilburn had a very similar paring of voices, and I think both James Blackwood and Jonathan Wilburn could have been operatic tenors.

  • David sings on the "Gold City Today" album, including this song.

David Hill is a fine lead singer - probably my favorite of Gold City - I love the personality his voice his has. However, he had some problems with longevity (lasting an entire concert) - that could have been worked out with a good vocal coach.

  • What Video is this from?

  • i disagree too David Hill was and excellent Lead vocalist so was Jonathan they both fit in great with the group.

  • I happen to passionately disagree with you mbwtarheels ..

    Both men are excellent singers.

  • Can you add more from this....Very FEW videos excist with David Hill and Gold City...What else did they do on this?

  • Jonathan Wilburn out sings him 10 to 1.
