I know this video is older so I will add that San Francisco EMS is run by the fire dept. and Kansas City recently took over MAST EMS, so it will be interesting to see what happens in KC. Also, new techniques such as CCR are promissing and seem to be performing much better thatn regular CPR in Kansas City, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Part of the problem you mentioned is the Ustein Template, of which most listed cities over 20% use while the cities lower dont use.
Man you have some damming numbers there! its so sad that NAEMT is not as strong as AIFF. I think the main problem is FDs always being behind the times. They buy new million dollar rigs for what?? Its not rocket science to put the wet stuff on the red stuff! Medical care advances too fast for most FDs to keep up with. These new concepts have to be pushed past some old guy (fire chief) who doesn't have a clue about real medical care. Too much bureaucracy! Good video
