  • @2008koss 3D Max

  • Great video. I have built many a Rotor, never saw the whole Machine together, thank you.

  • This is the most comprehensive Turbine Machinery dis-assembly video I have ever seen. I have built the Rotors and Diaphrams for 18 years now. And have never seen anything this in depth. Great job.

  • Amazing, very well done!

  • excellent illustration on how they come apart, always wanted to show the the wife how and what i do for a living, wish they came apart that easy in real life, haha.thanks for posting the video.

  • man this is great

  • Excellent animation! This is by far the best representation I have ever seen..Great job Jay.

  • It is really awesome and make maintenance people in the field understand and work perfectly.

  • Excellent vid. Happily I visited the GEC HP turbine plant in Rugby then the LP turbine plant in Manchester. They are awesome pieces of mechanical engineering. In this vid (and in the examples I saw) plain bearings were used and given the masses involved the rotor had to be kept rotating slowly when off-line, to avoid spoiling the bearing surfaces I think. The machine tools in the Manchester factory staggeringly huge and the erecting hall the biggest building I ever saw. Is it still active?

  • Txs Jay, Nice graphics.

    which software...?

  • That's pretty much how it's done. Takes a while to actually do this and if you are on the Turbine Crew, you work long, hard hours doing it. I did it for TVA at one of their largest plants (2,630 MW). It's fun, but it can be a pain. But all in all, it's good money and a steady check!!!

  • Fantastic ! Delighted !

  • good

  • Nice video! very well done. Is a good ref for me being an industrial mech.

  • our worlds dumbest maintenance attempts to, but more often than not we are taking them back down due to steam or oil leaks

  • wow. very cool. anyone who can actually do this must be pretty amazing smart!

  • good work ,so helpfull

  • Muy burn video . Deberia tener in poco de ezplicacion con voz

  • I've seen this process done on many a turbine deck...but never so wonderfully illustrated!

  • boy some sound would be good! Good video though I don't get to see the insides very often!

  • thanx
