  • @fabiogaucho77 thanks for the comment. I totally forgot about this video. I can't believe it was two years ago that my kids and I were at the statehouse for this. I agree that it benefits homeschoolers to have people from all sides of the political spectrum defending it. I guess I just found it ironic to see a liberal democrat claiming that the government should not be intruding in one aspect of her life.. I still find it funny but... I guess that's the way it is lol

  • News of the of 11 year old Amanda being force out of home schooling seems

to violate the very essence of why America was founded. Some of the

reasons parents home school is to not have their kids exposed to the anti

American, anti Christian, anti morality rhetoric which the left forces

upon us. . As long as Amanda can demonstrate that she is learning as

well as the average child of her age, the courts have no right to

intercede. God bless Brenda for trying to do the right thing.

  • Get the government's ass out of education. That is all.

  • I do not homeschool but I am with you. My so just told me that he tries to express himself in music class. The teacher told him that music clas is not for expression. It is for working & singing together as a group. My son sings beautifully. He is hyperactive. He had discipline trouble in the past. That is part of the problem with public school. Stand up & be counted

  • i think it should be up to the parents to decide what is best for their children. i have known plenty of home schooled children, and all of have done extremly well. i think the government doesnt like it because they want all children to be exposed to there political propaganda.

  • Homeschooling isolates children from the outside world and is pure indoctrination. I couldn't imagine what it would have been like for me to only have been taught from my parents' perspective. Sure, state public schools aren't perfect, but every once in a while teachers and other students bring new ideas into the classroom that foster innovation.

  • @juliaisafilmbuff123 Unlike public schools, where the current political climate dictates what is the right or wrong answer, our children are encouraged to get out and find out as much as they can, to form their own opinions, and are rewarded for their ability to defend their opinions. I remember on many occasions getting the "wrong" answer simply because it wasn't my teacher's interpretation. I'd rather be indoctrinated by my parents, at least I could trust them.

  • Home Schooling is the educational equivalent of incest. You can't breed with your children, for a good reason... you need new genetic material to foster quality offspring, (Sorry to interject the whole evolution thing in here but it is a fact, not a theory.) Read "The Greatest Show on Earth" by Dawkins.

inbreeding of education degrades the quality. Simple, and plain.

Teach your kids your own moral values if you wish, and infect them with your version of "The God Virus" Let teachers teach.

  • @pabobfin Oh my god are you an idiot! LOL

  • @sonnytook What part of inbreeding confuses you? Perhaps you're the result of it?

  • @2:20 "And nobody can teach my child better than me..." Even if we overlook the ironic grammatical error in that statement, this is one of the more absurd things I've ever heard.

  • @ x4100... There are other ways for kids to interact with other children. Sports? Clubs? Groups? School isn't the only option for socializing.

  • kids need to interact with other children

  • .........which they do. What do you know about homeschooling?

  • @x41000 they do well some do anyway the liberal woman at the end her son is in the New Hampshire state chorus thats being with other kids i believe and he seems well rounded hes an activist musician and a writer she is right i love learning but hated school the classes moved slowly well too slow for me and i felt like the only one trying most of the time! i wish i had had that last woman to teach me at home!

  • even if this were to pass. I"ll never follow the regulation.

  • Regarding the last lady: How can you be a liberal democrat and not expect the government to take away freedoms? Also, The current legislation may not be as onerous as the proposed one but it is still unconstitutional I disagree with her comment "the current legislation works". Everyone seems to forget that we the people are the ones who gave the government the right to educate our kids. (What were we thinking?) And now they think that we need to seek their permission to educate our children?

  • @prowless That's a problem between her and the other liberal democrats. It's a very good thing that people on opposite sides of the spectrum can make common cause on the issue of homeschooling. If the entire country sees HS as something only religious conservatives are doing (or any other political orientation), it becomes much easier to attack.

  • Awesome clip!!! great work!

  • Excellent video showing just how passionate and articulate these people are! I home educate here in the UK and we are facing similar control so my thoughts are with you all! Keep up the fight! x

  • APPLAUSE!

Fight for liberty and never stop fighting!

  • My biggest surprise was the diversity of people that attended. They were all very passionate about this vote.

  • that one family who was like "were liberal democrats for homeschooling!" needs to understand that big government is fighting a war against freedom.

  • Go Free State

  • Great job! Keep freedom alive

  • Woo hoo! I'm so proud of NH citizens and legislators. I am heartened by this bi-partisan show of support for homeschooling. On to total FREEDOM!

  • Excellent video. I believeI saw you at the state house filming, I was there as well in the gallery. Again, great video. Keep ip the good work.

  • i'm glad the homsechoolers came out. Not that I"ll follow the regulations if they passed it anyway. The state can go to hell for all I care.

  • Awesome! Well done! I'm very impressed with the turn out and the diligence with which you all fought this amendment. Way to go!
