i love the zetec s model. hoping to order one in the next two weeks. What do people think about the build quality. Some have said that the boot and doors have to be slammed shut otherwise the sensors detect them open. Can anyone shed some light here? I would like to know before I take the plunge and buy one cos on looks alone its smashing!! =)
Hi Kate, Yes you are correct. It appeared in September 2008 as a 2009 model. Ford began production of the '09 models in August 2008 at their Cologne, Germany plant. The Valencia, Spain plant came on line a bit later. I read recently that Fiesta sales are booming all across Europe. That's great news! Can't wait till we get the all new Fiesta and all new redesigned 2011 Focus next year. Keep up the great work that you do!
@ katekembery, very interesting reviews, though being a man it is interesting to see somting different than "power"-sreaming-clarkson all the time. if I was an automotive engineer I would watch your program quite closely. very cool you also post here in person. are you going to have some kind of hybrid,e.g. the new prius for testing once in a while??
Nice review. Slight correction: You are testing the 2009 Fiesta and not 2008. I live in the U.S. and we finally will be getting the all new Fiesta 5 door hatch and 4 door sedan early next year. The Fiesta Movement is already underway here and there's a lot of excitement building up for the new Fiesta. Looks like a fabulous car! By the way, not sure what "swish" means.

Many thanks for your comment. The new Ford Fiesta appeared in the dealerships in the UK in September 2008 I do believe.
