Saw V was so boring. I mean, it didn't really have a story. It was just explaining. The majority of the film was an explaination of Hoffman's involvement with Jigsaw and the flashbacks consumed so much of the film.

the water in box trap was made by hoffman to finish Strahm who was the last person in his way. It was meant to be unescapable but strahm stuck his pen in his throat and used the tube to breath till the police found him. INC SPOILERS

Hoffman later kills him at the end and now he is free to lead the police in circles around the investigation because he makes them believe strahm was the new apprentice

oh I just finished the movie, and it was descent, better than the 4th one. The movie doesn't have a shocking ending, it is intense though! The movie is like one of those reality elimination TV shows, someone gets eliminated every challenge.
