  • 7 CUBES!!!

  • i actually do the green cross and then the middle and so on but the last 4 stages are different i solve the blue cross with correct edge pieces then solve the corners

  • some tips...Try to build your cross on the bottom.

Building the same cross you used, this sequence solves it on D:

    x2 y R2 U L2 y' R' L' D F' D' // cross

    or

    x2 y R2 U L2 y L' R' u R' u' // cross // cross[/COLOR]

If you were colour neutral, the green cross is very easy.

    y U r U' r // green cross (on left)

solving a pair during the cross is called an Extended cross

    x' y D2 R2 U' F R' F' // green Xcross

  • i use to solve rubiks cubes, but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • I finished the beginner method tutorial and after some practice decided to watch this video, it's like 0 to 60 very fast... I guess i need to practice some more

  • i use the method of FUS RO DAH!

  • This is a really good video. Where can you get a good, reliable, DIY cube?

  • Thank YOU soooooo much :D this is an amazing video

  • What kind of cube do you use?

  • @brokenswmr nevermind

  • heard that @luizhenpr , i wanna learn how to do that step, guess im like the biggest noob ever...

  • Got my mind blown away from 3:35 to 4:00

  • my begginners method is found on the rubiks cube directions. its much simpler to learn than the common one.

  • 18 people failed at this

  • Can you give us a link to the algorithms that we can print out?

  • Ok never mind you just told me

  • What kind of cube are you working with. Doesn't look like rubik

  • @darkdancerman i think he is using the Dayan Zanchi correctme if im wrong mephisto

  • @arrisoomiero no he uses a discontinued cube, the closest one is at cube4you, google it, called cube4you 3x3x3 speed cube

  • this is too hard for me

  • were are you from?

  • what the fuck your cube is fast

  • wow you're fast!!

  • mind = blown

  • Comment removed

  • it really speeds us up)

  • i learned the last two steps a different way. i can solve the rubiks cube in 1 min and 30 sec so im doing something right. all i want to kno how to do is f2l cuz that wuld cut down at leat 30 sec

  • I hate the orient first, permutate later method. I prefer orient->permuate edges, then permutate->orient corners. Probably still a" begginer's method", but hey, I like it.

  • @jocey822 go look up a youtuber called help cube he shows u all this shit

  • is it wise to learn the 2 look methods first or just learn the full thing?

  • @Jerjer1127 everyone learn 2 look algs first and then learn the rest. its the best order to learn.

  • what cube do you use?

  • i have no idea how competitions work. do u have to be speed cubeing at a certain speed to enter?, and if u do what will be a good enough solve time to enter one

    please reply someone

  • @XbaellX well the world champions, are all under 10 seconds, record your self and if you beat one of their records look into it deeper,\

  • please reply

i want to start speed cubing and i already know the fridrich method but I want a good speed cube for starting off. which cube do you recommend and what website should i buy it from?

    thanks

  • @jocey822 a great speedcuber cube is "Dayan ZhanChi" (it was used in the world record solve)

  • only about 14 new algorithms

  • what olls and plls should i start out learning

  • @magicswimmer1 just learn them all at once.. it's actually not that hard, if you practice! now, stop asking unnecessary questions and go practicing! ;)

  • @magicswimmer1

u should first learnd plls then oll becouse plls are longer and there are less of them

  • memorizing 14 algorithms is actually not bad? lol that's insane. could hardly remember anything past r u r

  • @secretbear87 Try full OLL and PLL... :D 14 algs shouldn't be so hard, I memorized about 15 in 3 days, only had to force myself to learn 2 algs. Badmephisto's algs are grouped so well it's so easy to learn.

  • One question, how fast can u solve a rubik cube ?

  • cheezinator well its probably because you started learning f2l so you will slow down a little but if you do like a hundred solves or so you will drop to about 40sec average its normal for people it happened to me before just practise and you will improve

  • I lube my guhung by just spraying crc in the holes on oposite corners. Lol

  • Hell, last week I finally decided to look up how to solve the rubiks cube and learned your beginners method the first day. The second day I learned the f2l and begun with the 2 look oll. The third day I finished learning the 2 look oll and also learned the 2 look pll. At the fourth day I started timing and git 1 min 20 secs average with 59 s fastest solve, is this any good for the time I learned it in?

  • @cheezzinator Learned so quickly? Nice. 59 seconds as the fastest solve is good since you did it in such a small period of time. You could get your best time to about 30 secs if you practice about a month and average around 40 secs.

  • @HermanAnimation Thank you, I stopped practicing for about a week, but now I'm back on the cube and averaging at 1 min 5 secs, I can't get the f2l fast enough (although it is faster then the beginners method ;P) at 40 secs I'm still doing the f2l =/ but practice makes perfect ;D

  • @cheezzinator A month of heavy F2L practicing is the solution. I learned to do it intuitively, but thinking of learning a few algs for it to speed it up. Good luck!

  • Average time about 55 seconds, starting to get used to F2L. Haven't learned OLL and PLL yet.

I found that my average solve required over 130 moves, now it has decreased to about 80 because I learned the F2L. So many useless moves eliminated. Cubing is great!

  • Nice vids you should make an android app though.

  • i am averaging 34 seconds. having trouble with the full pll. could you post a video on full pll plz.

  • Thanks sooo much man I love ur videos and u give so much detail:) thanks my best time average is now 23 seconds

  • Man I love how you break down all this so that it makes sense. I bought your Iphone application and it's great! Have you thought of putting in the F2L algorithims from your website in the app? Would be nice!

  • 12:07 is that jessica fridrich??

  • thanks! just earlier today my best time was 1:22 but my old best time was 1:17 and just before i got 1:00!!! thanks for all of oyur videos

  • Hey check this!!.....hold your cube, nd without rotating the whole cube, do any algorithm in right and up layer, nd u will come back to the original after some time....For eg. do R U 106 times on the solved cube....nd u will come back to the solved cube after doing it :)

  • Jig - A - Loooooooooooooooo

  • please answer this! i dont get how you do it. is it possible for u to post a link in the description for a print out sheet? im only 11. thanks! :)

  • Want to be faster? Learn Roux (:

  • I'm buying a Zhanchi cube, since I can't lubricate my original Rubik's and I hear it is quite fast.

Why can't I lube it? Because where I live you can't find Silicone Spray... Vaseline eats plastic and doesn't work that well anyway.

    Any recommendations? Help!

  • @gogoteca WD40 worked well for me

  • BORING

  • Just wanted to leave my thanks for this great source of knowledge. Was finding it hard to find good information as to where to go after the 'beginner method'. Thanks a lot.

  • hey badmephisto i started 2 months ago with cubing now my time is 35.10 sec without f2l and olls, plls so i wanna ask what my time wil be if i learn the fridrich method

  • I bought the original rubiks cube from a hobby shop but the cube is not that smooth when turning (way better than a $2.50 rubiks cube)

  • what does it mean to have the cube oriented

  • Hello All! Please respond to this cause i'm dying of my results..

What is your best time with 2l OLL/PLL? My best was 1,34

I'm completely suck in F2L so i'm not using it xD

Never ever had an edge-corner pair on the last layer. They are always in the place where they should be ( Inthat line i mean)

Sorry for suck english, hard day today XD

  • @No0BZo0r For f2l, you just have to practice alot. also use the 2 look algorithms to help you make one you know

  • @leodeigo12345

    thankyou

  • Great! and motivational!

  • impressive

  • Dude show me your face man

  • you have always been the speed cubing guy i went to to learn how to do f2l n fridrich you're awesome dude but i just have one question. what is your background? i cant figure out what accent you have

  • Your videos have been the best tutorial videos I've found. Thank you for the effort you've put in so thousands can benefit from your knowledge :)

  • i do corner pll first not edge

  • @MrPackfan42 why are u using wd40? you're not supposed to use wd40 on ur cube! it is bad because it will turn the internal plastic white permanently and it is called the white ghost effect. use jigaloo, badmephisto is using it.

  • Should i leran 4-look ll or f2l first?

  • @alexborinteiangered learn f2l, 2-look oll, 2-look pll, full pll, advanced f2l, and oll

  • after 2 years learning i got my PB 18.72(lucky scramble) and 42.72 avg lol...

  • hi badmephisto, i have really great problems solving the cross and f2l because i always have to find edges and corners really hard....my current time is about 55 secs or less..if i can do f2l easily i might be able to do in under 40 secs plssssss helpppppp xO

  • Incredibly thorough tutorial, thanks a lot badmephisto! :)

  • faz sendt me here! :D

  • Are you asian? o.o;

  • @chunyiin He is Canadian.

  • @ badmephisto Is god to use keyhole method?

    Thank you!!!

  • good i like it keep going with your cube

  • I got a cube4you type 1a speed cube I think but it still does not look and fast or as smooth as yours what have you done to yours???

  • how long should it take to learn all the 2 look oll and pll algorithms? and badmephisto has by far the best tutorial for this, thank you so much man. keep up the good work

  • fuck u u didnt teach me anything, u just showed yourself solving the cube, not how u did it

    >8(

  • Anyone know the algorithm notation of the "second look" on the pll that he did? I only know the algorithm for this case that involves M turns.....

  • @milosz105 well u can use vaseline, its cheap and helps, its not perfect and it sucks when ur puting it in the cube but, works better than nothing

  • I have a friend that did it in 5 secs. No joke! We were only in 6th grade and are now moving towards 7th because school just ended. (sorry for extra info)

  • Could you please make a tutorial on how to hold the cube? As in like which fingers apply to what type of turns or when you should use 1,2,3 or 4 fingers? Because I seem to be using all 4 fingers on every turn and that makes me much slower. Thanks!

  • my cube is not good, i bought it like a month ago but its like peeling so i can't twist it quickly, but i'll be getting one soon so woohoooo, i'm probably the only ine in the school that can do a rubix cube

  • Comment removed

  • what is 4 look last layer?

is it 2 look oll and 2 look pll?

  • @milosz105 i advise NO it has petroleum in it so it it bad for the plastic and has a strong smell that doesnt leave.

really any silicone should work but lubix is the best (most expensive though)

u can probably order online jigaloo, crc or maru lube

  • best cubing teacher ever :)

  • I think hes asian

  • @AfterEffectsLova I'm expressing my opinion, it's a free country

  • Can you take out the center piece and adjust the screws on all the typeA cubes???

  • rofl 00:07 is not complete and he says hes good thumbs up if you agree

  • I have the exact same keyboard that you do O.O the Logitech G15. It's a great keyboard^^

  • if you average:

-1.10 mins or more=turn with fingers, not hands.

    -1.10 mins-50 secs=learn fridrich method (F2L,4 look last layer)

    - 50-30 secs=concentrate on solving f2l pairs 1 at a time, as fast as you can. learn full pll.

-30 secs and under=learn the rest of fridrich. learn to slow down during f2l and focus on your look-ahead. NOW you will profit from it the most. the moment you turn faster than you can track the next pair you're losing time.

    my avg 16.47

thumbs up so people can see =)

  • @jpm736 do u learn oll after 30 sec and under?

  • @watthefrack02 i started to learn full oll averaging about 35 seconds.

  • @jpm736 and when did u learn f2l algs?

  • @jpm736 I use f2l,fingertricks 2 look OLL/PLL and look ahead, yet i still average around 45-50 secs ? any help ?

  • @AliElliot 3 possible reasons:

    You suck at fingertricks

    Your cube is crap

Your not skilled at F2L yet to do look ahead

  • @betbetsukbet I mostly suck at the cross and looking ahead for the cross. My cube is a guhong

  • @AliElliot i'm around 50 secs with cross/f2l/2loll/2lpll myself. Cross/f2l being the slowest. I just have to work on my cross/f2l to get quicker, and obviously learn full OLL PLL

  • @AliElliot :just practise dude....all the tips and tricks that ull learn from anywhere r never goin to be any good until U PRACTISE UR ASS OUT!!

  • @AliElliot practice and get a better cube, just saying like a Fll or an Alpha V.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow when I first saw this video about 4 months ago I was like o wow at his f2l but now im like meh

  • What kind of cube is that?

  • Yes the Alpha V and F-II are great but I recommend getting a DaYan GuHong or a Lubix GuHong Ultimate once you are faster with a DIY.

  • I saw that Z perm and was like "GROSS!" An alternative that you actually probably know is M2 U M2 U M U2 M2 U2 M U2

  • Thank you for your great videos. I had a question regarding the new type f2 cubes that can be purchased, what site would you recommend I shop for those because the links you have in the description are only for the do it yourself cubes. Also what is the difference between the DIY ones and the newer type f2 cubes and which one would you recommend? I really want to get faster and I would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks

  • my cube keep getting lock up omg, OMG!!! and i dont want to buy a new rubrix cube

Because it would make a rubrix cube nerd (no offense to you lol) and cost alot of money, can i do it without a speedcube?

  • @purefatdude2 you don't need a certain kind of cube to be fast. just the rubik's storebought can be very fast if you lube and take care of them properly. there's tons of videos about lubing cubes up on youtube. this won't help with locking up, though. if you want a cube that doesn't lock up as much you can get cubes from cube4you for as little as 6 or 7 dollars. shipping takes a while, but they have great cubes.

  • i bought the jig a loo and now my cube is really slow and it barely turns..

  • -watching video- @3:32 WTF?

  • i use the fridrich method since 2 weeks ago with 2 look oll and 2 look pll and my record is 27 seconds and am planning to get better

  • Good video but fail at 00:07

  • Do you not use any dayan or other branded cubes?

  • LOOOOOOOL my god how did you do the F2L so faaaaast???????

  • What was the algorithm used on the Z-perm at 5:30?

  • nice keyboard!

  • i av 28 but i dont know any speed cubing methods i just go fast, is that bad?

  • i avarage 33 sec and i dont even know full oll and pll. is that good?

  • hey badmephisto,

i wonder how you go 15 seconds .after more than two weeks practice i get only 55 seconds.i use the fridrich.how long did you practice to get such a low time.post a video to help me and many others like me .please everybody thumbs up!

  • @ksubaharan hes been practising for a few years...also you have to use fingertricks and limit cube rotations

  • @ksubaharan 55 seconds its not a low time lmao especially for people who just practiced just for 2 weeks

  • people are not random lmao lol

i seem people who are really random

  • @ksubaharan If you use 55 seconds then you are not "Born this way!" xD

  • @ksubaharan PRACTICE

  • @ksubaharan

2 weeks its nothing in the speedcubing world. The average person will take anywhere between 2 and 6 months to get 15-20 seconds avg (assuming he/she practices at least 1 or 2 hours a day). Do check the comment of jpm736, he's got the real mccoy on how to improve. I've been cubing for 3 years and im averaging 22/23 seconds.

    its up to you!

  • @ksubaharan . I've been cubing for about a year and a half, and I'm only just breaking the 20 second barrier.Just practice, it gets easier to learn algs when you learn more of them. Eventually the goal is not to beat meph but just to do it as fast as you can and have fun with it. Of course, the faster you get, the harder it gets to get faster. If you can break a minute, it's really not that bad to whittle it down to half that. half of THAT, now that's the hard part.

  • @ksubaharan i thnk you need DIY cube

  • @ksubaharan Keep on practising.

  • @ksubaharan I believe i can answer that, he not only uses f2l but he also knows all the oll's and pll's. Furthemore he has a least one year of practice behind him. So if you want to get as fast as him, keep practicing and learn ALL the oll and pll cases, it's way faster than the two look one!

  • @ksubaharan It took him a year. And read the comment above yours. Its helpful.

  • @formigalformigal You realize Ksub asked this 2 months before JPM posted his comment? :)

  • @formigalformigal Haha, true. I didnt think about it

  • @ksubaharan it doesnt take 2 weeks man, it takes like a few years -_- the world record holder has been doing it for i think 3 years now

  • @D3ViNThED3V1 3 years of practice, 2 weeks to learn.

  • @ksubaharan Do you have a good lubricated cube? Do you know full OLL and PLL?

  • how do you get faster recognition of the colors ??? plz reply.

  • Comment removed

  • Use Dayan GuHong! 8:12

  • I got 54 seconds with the beginner, can;t wait to see me new time when i learn this, but i have trouble with PLL

guess i have something better to do then homework now

  • i have learned all 2 look algs, just cant w8 my time decrases.

    thnx for vid's man!

  • isnt roux used in least moves competitions lol, since it doesn't require alot of moves :P

  • Hey V nice videos

I just want to ask You if You can give me the link for the F-2 Cubes

because i can only find the C2 and D2 cubes No F-2 :S

  • @s1ilv3r Woops found it :)

  • @s1ilv3r Woops found it :) is its model F305?

  • how many 3x3x3 cubes do you have??

  • Comment removed

  • @scillage14 same here...

  • How did u do that thing at the start

  • @Jedi5412 what thing?

  • @Jedi5412 the trick before he said speedcubing 0:04

  • @Jedi5412 do you have awnsered yourself twice? LOL

  • where did u get those....

  • can u specify the best cube which can last long (with the stickers :P )? Also how long do u think it will take to become as good as you. Now i can solve it in 1:30 without F2L? Please reply

  • i can do it in a solid minute but i want to get better

  • @prithvi10394 you wont break 1 min without using fredrich. Get a diy (doesnt really matter what type unless you are REALLY FAST) and get cubsmith tile stickers

  • Which Cube do you use?
