That's not a good question. We don't need to "trust someone"; we need to remember that we, ourselves, are sovereign individuals who grant power to the government by our will, and can take it away. That is why the Constitution starts the way it does. We should not be looking for some Obama type who looks more trustworthy than the last guy and place all our faith in him, but should be doing what we can to make ourselves heard and throw the bums out!
