Something is not right with Alex this year. Either hes hiding an injury , but he seems bored out there. Maybe he realizes as many have the regular season means nothing as long as you make the playoffs. The Caps were by far the best team last year, but after the olympic break youcan see they weren't as good as the first half. I think they burned themselves out. Im sure withabout 30 games left he will turn it on and then the rest of the league will see him dominate.

No-Vechkin.. Montreal's playin' quite good actually. Although it would be quite a great thing for a Canadian team to bring back the Stanley Cup to hockey's motherland, I'm quite sure they won't be able to take out Ovechkin for the rest of the games of the series. Halak played great for the whole season (and during the Olympic Games), but sooner or later Ovechkin will blow up his ass with some goals.. I say Washington make it to the next round after a long long series against Montreal.

Also the trade for Chimera was a great addition to the caps. I happen to be a bruin fans and was the biggest pavel bure fan, but the great 8 has made the Backstroms and such better players, and although hes a known goal scorer has now turned to playmaker as well. Unless some team makes an unbelievable trade for a superstar by the tradeing deadline, the caps have to be the favs to win it this year, but watch out for Vancouver,the Sedin line is awesome and really smoked the hawks last night.

Alex has now taken his game to the next level and yes sidney does have a cup and is the role model the nhl wants to promotebut you just cant compare the 2 any longer. The gap now is just tooo big and he is one of the most feared hitters in the game and not afraid to fight if he has to. Crosby yes is a special player, and would consider him great but the great 8 is tons the best and right now Sedin of Vancouver is probably the second best player in the league, but thats just my opinion .
