Yea she is lip-syncing , but first, it's still one of bests times because i hardly noticed it (btw not on that place you pointed out, but on 2:40). To be true, i don't mind, because it's still a great performance, her moves are great and so is the song :). And besides, it's still her voice, not someone's else. I adore her. I Was actually at the recording of this show YES she Lipped 80% of her songs, but what you don't see is her charisma, her laughing and joking with the audience etc.
She is amazing and whilst it is annoying to see such a talent lip sync (especially after waiting outside in october for 5 hrs) her personality shines through and you can understand why she has to preserve her voice.

Yes she is. She's lipping to the album version of RDMH and TC. Listen to the album in sync with youtube; they match. She mimed the entire special, just as she mimed the special here in the USA. She's my favorite vocalist and I can still accept she mimes, why is it so hard for others to accept it? She's lip syncing the hell outta these songs on this special. I was at the recording of the USA special here in Los Angeles and can attest that the "team celine" section all knew she was miming.
the show was lipped , she admitted it , there was an interview in the british press about it , it was recorded 2 days before her final show in vegas , she needed to save her voice simple as that she's only human , but no need to lie for her , she had no problem admitting it
I went to see a concert during the Taking Chances Tour last summer and I can only assure those people who think that she lipsynched here - Celine's voice is simply amazing and she has the ability to perfom even live at the same high standard as she does in the studio. That's what makes her outstanding, makes her to be the best contemporary female singer.

Mariah's had many plagerism lawsuits, and Celine actually writes or co-writes a nice amount of her french songs. She just doesent constantly mention it, as M does. xD
As scramasboy said, Celine writes and co-writes some of her French songs, and has actually co-written a couple of English songs. Celine has a better voice than Mariah; Mariah's vocal ability was at its best a decade ago if not more. Celine's voice has stayed great, and in fact, improved. She just gets better with age. I'm not too impressed with Mariah's singing to date.

Indeed, but Elton wasn't in the middle of doing 5 months of tour pratice and a vegas show that included running around a huge stage, and dancing as well as singing at the tippy top of his lungs as Celine has, some days she sang around 5 hours.
If you dount her talent, search "celine dion world tour all by myself" or "celine dion world tour river deep mountain high" and you'll see it's awesomeness.
No one paid in the audiance anyway, and the tv station does it for viewers. No harm no faul.
i can tell you now for a 100 % fact celine dion did lip syncing during this peformance due to a previous sighned contract. however celine can still blow over the audience with her peformance she gives.
I am a huge fan of Celine- going to see her on Saturday. But for god's sake she was clearly lip syncing throughout the whole show. I don't get why people are so ashamed to admit it- Celine did! She had a contract to complete at Ceaser's, it was understandable.

Amen! Okay, FYI, I saw her live on her Taking Chances tour, and hse sung completely LIVE! and she tears the roof off! I dunno... she lipped way more than just two songs during this tv special, that's for sure. she basically lipped the entire thing, both with album cuts [like this, eyes on me, think twice, etc] and with vegas cuts like to love you more, mhwgo, etc.

Yes she is. She's lipping to the album version of RDMH and TC. Listen to the album in sync with youtube; they match. She mimed the entire special, just as she mimed the special here in the USA. She's my favorite vocalist and I can still accept she mimes, why is it so hard for others to accept it? She's lip syncing the hell outta these songs on this special. I was at the recording of the USA special here in Los Angeles and can attest that the "team celine" section all knew she was miming.

I went to see a concert during the Taking Chances Tour last summer and I can only assure those people who think that she lipsynched here - Celine's voice is simply amazing and she has the ability to perfom even live at the same high standard as she does in the studio. That's what makes her outstanding, makes her to be the best contemporary female singer.

As scramasboy said, Celine writes and co-writes some of her French songs, and has actually co-written a couple of English songs. Celine has a better voice than Mariah; Mariah's vocal ability was at its best a decade ago if not more. Celine's voice has stayed great, and in fact, improved. She just gets better with age. I'm not too impressed with Mariah's singing to date.

Even the likes of Liza Minelli who had nodules still sing live. She charges extortionate rates to mime to a CD i just disagree with the principle.

She was paid a HUGE sum to appear and lip sang previous artist have sang live and donated there fee to chartity like neil from last weekend westlife and elton john and shirley bassey who have all choose to give something bak. Indeed, but Elton wasn't in the middle of doing 5 months of tour pratice and a vegas show that included running around a huge stage, and dancing as well as singing at the tippy top of his lungs as Celine has, some days she sang around 5 hours.
If you dount her talent, search "celine dion world tour all by myself" or "celine dion world tour river deep mountain high" and you'll see it's awesomeness.
No one paid in the audiance anyway, and the tv station does it for viewers. No harm no faul.

I am a huge fan of Celine- going to see her on Saturday. But for god's sake she was clearly lip syncing throughout the whole show. I don't get why people are so ashamed to admit it- Celine did! She had a contract to complete at Ceaser's, it was understandable.
