While I agree that maybe the mother should put a helmet on her child, but really, how much different is that from dragging a child out into the wilderness with no weapon? My grandfather often took me out into the Ozark woods where there were copperheads, bears, and wolves. We stared a wolf, a few yards a way in the eyes, standing very still. The wolf decided we weren't dinner and moved on. WHAT A RUSH! I loved it. Better than a roller coaster ride. I did the same with my sons.

@13379009 Who almost died? No one I know of. The rush was the ability to see the wolf in its natural environment & the fact is, most of what is said about wolves is a myth. Just as my grandfather quietly told me to do, I did not move. I only watched & the thrill was seeing the beautiful creature, not almost dying, which no one did. My sons and I took many nature walks, just as my grandfather & I did, & encounter many types of wild animals. It's really no big deal esp with knowledge of them
