  • LoL.. Does anyone actually paint in this mario paint game?

  • Now I want to play FF7...

  • @acethebunny So i'm not the only person now eh?? lol

  • *sigh* looks like a good combination. Then again, Square Soft began with Nintendo and seeing as Final Fantasy 7 was the first one that was one of the first that wasn't Nintendo... this actually makes me think it would have been a great Nintendo 8-bit game. ^-^

  • @schwasha000 16 bit, you mean, surely.

  • 4 people have never tried to use Mario Paint to do anything complex like this.

  • AMAZING :O

  • 4 Shin-Ra soldiers that Cloud owned disliked this video.

  • HIPERMEGALOL! xD

  • haha too much time on your hands but awesome game on the top of my list for all time fav

  • ahh the good old days

  • This is far superior to HCBailly's version.

  • I thought it sounded a little off, but when I read about how you could only put 5 notes in one erm...column thingy, I completely understood

  • this reminds me why Mario paint is such an awesome game to this day, and why it hasn't been remade for the Wii we may never know or even care.

  • I realize you posted this years ago, but you are still responsible for the massive nerdboner I have right now.

  • FFVII in 8-bit !!

  • Nice use of volume.

  • 3 people failed the bombing mission.

  • 3 people couldn't make it out of the reactor within 10 minutes.

  • This brings bck so much memories =w=... Of the PS1

I actually played the demo of FF Vll So i must of missed out on a lot

  • This the epitome of epic...

    I am awestruck.

  • Here is a rare occasion where somebody does the job better than HCBailly.

  • 500/100

  • @rafahh1991

Actually, it's called Opening Bombing Mission. The prelude is the traditional scaling of the notes (the one that can be heard if you don't start/continue the game and let the next screen load after it says 'Squaresoft')

  • @rafahh1991 I have a scan of the original piano music and the person who translated the title wrote Opening: Bombing Mission right below it.

  • @rafahh1991 what an idiot

  • My name? My name is Cloud... SOLDIER 1st Class... What's it to you?

  • amazing man

  • One word for you my friend. SUPERDOOPERFRICKENAWESOMETASTICNESS!

  • Cloud: were goin underground midgar to get to the sister ray

HOLY SHT its been like a month since i heard this music..... makes me remember how AWSUM it izz

  • is Final Fantasy VII the one with ifrit and the cards? that was my second favorite one, but i only got to play it 4 times

  • @RaNd0m221 final fantasy is the epic one with the best music in gaming history

    (and ifrith)

  • @RaNd0m221

    Erm sorry wrong Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy VII is a great game even without the annoying card mini-games...I should say especially but that's just my personal opinion.

    You should try it out.

  • look at the scrolling action! wow, i wonder how long it took to do this.....

  • Oh my god...you managed to keep the ambience so beautifully! Awesome work!

  • the tempo should be a little bit faster i think

  • I salute you.

  • very good though parts were slow and laggy

  • bahaha you make it seem like they made the music for FFVII on mario paint, and you just rediscovered the notes they used =D

    good job, mate.

  • Hey Norse, your glitch guide on GameFAQs helped me get the Quadra Magic early, thanks :D

Well done on this song, too! This is one of my favorite compositions from FF7.

  • Really great job on the percussion at 2:08.

  • I AGREE

  • beat crisis core 3 times on the psp. it gets rly easy because u start out as the same level and you get all the same materia and items

  • This is pure awesomeness! :D

  • If you have a psp you can buy ti for $10 on PS store

  • To the Playstation!!

  • Dude. it sounds just like the game! 5*

  • Two thumbs up!! I wish I had your free time, though. lol

  • i hated completing ff7 for the first time because i wanted to ,play more and couldnt be assed playing it from the start

  • ya. but it was one long game. square had to move from snes to playstation because it was too big. and they had to make 3 disks. but it will always be treasured as my favorite FF

  • Great work man

  • This is so good.

  • gosh this makes me want to go and play Final Fantasy VII now!!!

  • This lanched me right back to the train and cloud kicking thet soilder

  • OMG!

    Sooo awesome!

  • dude. so sweet.

i hope they remake this on the ps3

  • me too

  • Really, why do you want a remake? It'd be the same damn game.

  • cause final fantasy 7 is fuckin beast

  • I agree with you. I could play FFVII a million times and never get bored. I would buy a PS3 just for that if needed.

  • You can play it on your psp.

  • Yeah, I kinda wanna get a PSP just to play FFVII on it. PSP Go... btw, sounds kind of f'ed up IMO

  • Without having to download a bunch of emulators and shit or do you still have to do all that?

  • I thought your one winged angel was impressive enough... but I liked this one much better!! XD

This sounds so much like the actual game's soundtrack!!

  • It's good, no doubt, but a wee-bit too slow for me. Great try, though.

  • He pretty much matched the original song's tempo.

  • Amazing

  • this sounds ridiculously like Final Fantasy VII haha.

    good job mate.

  • ffvii music was all midi and mario paint is essentially a midi generator, So it's a great mix.

  • Got a wierd tingling all over when this started up, nice work :).

  • makes me want to play the game, and i might do that right now, of course from the beginning, i try to level up to seventeen then go straight to the story line. lol

  • awesome.

  • this is awesome, too bad mario paint couldn't make the 'BOOM' when the logo comes up

  • This deserves far more than 17K views...at least 100K. Awesome job

  • whats with the weird stuff at 0:35

  • omg awesome! i love ff7 check out my mako reactor and cosmo canyon : 5 stars + sub

  • 5 star and subscribed for you because of it!

  • favorited...need i say more?

  • OMG you even put in the train effects.... BRILLIANT!!!!

  • this is too good, like for real so dramatic and so amazing... thanks

  • this is actually amazing, it sounds just like the original :D great job man

  • Great Job, I especially liked how you were able to recreat the percussion on this song. I have a hard time doing that in MPC

  • Yeah--I had a lot of trouble keeping everything with the 5-note per line limit around the 2:23 section that you mentioned. =P You guys have a good ear!

  • haha you just get used to hearing it a certain way after playing that for hours on end... but ya its not even missing notes... its just all crammed in there at 2:25ish so you can't get those (grace notes or 16ths whatever the actual score is like) but it opens up later in so if you did that 2:25 section like you did 2:40 you'd be solid

  • Congratz, You've just got another Subscriber.

  • I'm well pleased that you kept the notes at 3:25-3:30. That's my favorite part of my song in the bombing mission and you were faithful in having that in there :)

  • I don't know if i am alone here, but whenever i here this, something feels weird inside, Like nostalgia.

Not to mention this sounds EXACTLY like the original cut.

  • i know what you mean

  • Well done.

  • Ah this is so chilling haha. :) Those boats really do sound like the train tracks from what I remember and all the other notes and the effects you used worked so perfectly. Great job, it's a masterpiece.

  • Masterpiece *sniff*

  • There is one note that is going low when it should be much higher.. Anyone else hear it?

  • you mean towards the beginning? That is because MPC can only go so high...(has encountered this while composing songs too)

  • Lol I swear NorseFTX is a genious...

  • awesome, good work mate, this really went over my expectations, 5 stars definetly ! and a sub :P

  • Wow, you got every detail just right in this. Just so full of awesomeness.

  • i have the pc game with all patches exept npc reconstruckt if anyone wants my zip file?

  • Dang....your good. Now I want to start doing this stuff now

  • This certainly brings back memories...

  • argh how do you do such awesomness

  • Frikkin well good mate

Still Nobuo Uematsu's original versions will always be better :P

  • very incredable

and also this game (even though this is a PC remake) has a NES version that culd play this song O_o

crazy the NES having almost as good music as the PS1 XD

  • O_O at my favourite part, whch would start at 2:24, all the parts were left out! the rest was awesome tho

  • Oh--! Which parts do you mean?

I know one of the places have incorrect notes for certain (starting around 1:55, the heart bass line), since the program doesn't go lower than a B, but I didn't like the sound of having the hearts go up an octave to hit the right notes.

If that's what you were talking about, then you caught me.... =P

If it's somewhere else, though, please let me know!

  • The part starting at 2:24, the original song had a bit more punch to it. It was the part of the song I liked the most, it felt like you were missing something.

Other than that, amazing stuff! It's still no Tour de Japon, but it's awesome! I've been listening to these Mario Paint songs for over 2 hours now! So addictive! :P

  • Oh! Yes, that part at 2:24, I definitely was having trouble keeping under the 5-note limit. There were some parts that I had to leave out to keep the percussion and parts of the harmony in there. I guess you were able to notice it. =P It's a good thing! That means you enjoy the song to the point that you know it very well.

  • Also, 2:09 to 2:16, incredibly cool ship solo.

  • i like how you added the train noises :p that just made it complete

  • This is amazing... like this just made me happy.

  • oh, i see what u did there. -_- (in the beginning)

good job though. sounded pretty good.

  • Whoa, this is fucking excellent!

  • you are amazing dude!!!

  • A chill ran down my spine as I watched and listened to this.

    Simply amazing.

  • wow man...epic boats

  • indeeeeeeeed

  • indubitably

  • Also, I've just thought, could you please do the Shinra theme? You know the one, that goes 'Dooooo doooooo, dooooooo doooooooooo, doo doo doo dooooo (Da, da, da) Dooooooo dooooooo, doooo doooo, doo dooo doooo doooo (Daa, daaaaaa, daaa) That one, from when you're running through the reactor? I'd try myself, but it would probably sound awful.

  • Lol, very descriptive! Lmao!

    -Lee

  • You. Am. TEH MUZAK KINGZ! I just love this song so much, and this makes me feel like I'm playing a NES version of the game.

  • Wow, you even did the train noises. Great job.

  • OMG AWESOME

  • O

    M

G WOW, must have been hard, and sounds just like it

  • Damn... very impressive. This brings back memories.

  • wow that was really close to the original 5/5, This has always been my fav. song on VII

  • holy crap, this was amazing, i actually got goose bumps from it. again wow, great job!

  • effin amazing 6/5 stars, i love you

  • this is very nice~! sound very orgina~!

  • ...Nice. Quite the talent, I see...

  • That was ****ing amazing!

  • It sounds very close to the original by Nobuo Uematsu. I am very impressed. 5/5! ^^

  • This is really awesome. I wonder if anyone has tried doing "The Forgotten City" I think that's the name of the track anyways. Great! 5/5

  • Oh! HCBailly's done a version for that song, which you can find by searching for "You Can Hear the Planet Cry, Mario Paint".

  • Thanks for the headsup I'll check it out.

  • holy shit...., he even got the fade of the drums .... this is ridiculously good.

  • GODLIKE. Just 1337, unbeatable.

  • I'm gonna add another comment about how this is one of the most awesomest MPC videos. Along with the Seymore battle MPC video.

  • wow nice job!!
