@Snuglebandit Play an 11th fret A and 13th fret G together, then a 10th fret A and 12th fret G, followed by an 8th fret E and 10th fret D together. Then play an 18th fret A and 20th fret G together, followed by 15th and 17th on the E and D, and finally a 16th and 18th on the E and D.
Listen to the song for the rhythm and repeats. Sorry if it's not very clear but I'm sure you can work it out :)
@TvoShredderOfGnar have a listen to 'how to disappear completely' by the same boys, it's a slower tune but the string/ondes martenot playing is much more intricate.
I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive I Will Eat You All Alive
@OptikC your so right. Im in a band and the other members suffer from that. They just seem to be afraid to do summat that doesnt sound "correct". The thing is some of the best songs usually take a while to get into. For example it took me a while to get into inrainbows but after a couple of listens i loved it.
Who else could be so damn good and prove a point? That is, the bullshit politicians, the deepest thoughts, all the worlds shit put into an album. Or many albums I should say. They became famous talking about the worst parts of being famous. Goddamn. Radiohead. Love.
do you know exactly what kind of synths they use for this song? i'm pretty sure jonny is using the ondes(i could be wrong), but what about ed? maybe just an ebow with synth-esque effects?
@WhammyDown Actuallly, i'm pretty sure Ed has a sustainer in one of his guitars, as opposed to using an ebow, 'cause i've never seen him use one live.
saw the on roskilde 08 and I was so looking forward to hearing this one live. 2 hours and 30minute long gig but no wieayb. Probably for the best though. Think i would have passed out
LeSexisme was not talking about the lyrical content, obviously that's not the same.
It has that same transcendal feeling to the song. Like you could be in a giant building like a church, built in homage to something like "God", and this song could fit perfectly.
Also it may be that the synth in the background sounds very choral.
I'm always up in the clouds, when I listen to Radiohead..=)

I love how this video starts, just sort of skipping the intro. It's way cool, even though it's not supposed to.

Bands need to learn how to write songs, and not be scared of how "sad" they sound.
