I think, and this is from memory, that they had some sort of issue with NME around the writing of Thou Shalt, but thats cleared up now.

Maybe, and i dont really know what NME is like as a magazine, maybe though they just believe that being in NME as an artist usually represents a sell out, therefore they arent contradicting themselves by being in NME, as long as they do not sell out.

It's quite a common story for someone to find that speaking rehearsed words doesn't trigger their stutter or stammer, and to go from there to being much more comfortable on stage with planned words, than off-stage with an impromptu discussion.
