  • their still not reading NME.

  • Thou shalt not read NME - thou shalt watch it on youtube :>

  • Do not be inspired to dislike NME - Be inspired to think for yourselves.

  • Does Scroobius Pip not sing in in the song "Thou Shalt Always Kill": Thou Shalt not read NME? NEVERTHELESS, AWESOME SONG, AND AWESOME BAND IN GENERAL...

  • though shall not read... what? haha

  • thou shalt not read nme, true but nme don't get any revenue off of youtube videos so dan and scroob are just using nme for increased publicity but not really giving anything in return. and more fool nme for publicising an act which has openly discredited them!! haha

  • i love these two to death.

  • Though shall not read NME

  • clock- myspace niallgalvinmusic !!

  • Thou shalt think for yourselves

  • In an interview he gives about thou shalt kill, he said if you listen carefull (which most people don't) it's full of contradictions, the most important line in the song which people always look over is "thou shall think for yourselves"

  • I only watched to see if the "Thou Shalt Not Read NME" Comment was mentioned, how disapointing

  • ha ha SAME! love them, but definetely expected some sarcasm!

  • LOWLANDS

  • I think you've completely missed the point of the song.

Have another listen to it. Maybe listen extra closely to the second from last line...

    "Thou shalt think for yourselves"

  • @dmh79 yes but i was assuming that the points he were bringing up were the ones he agreed with, contrary or not

  • Thou shalt think for yourselves. Thats what you should do, and that was PiP's point.

enjoy their music, and enjoy their lyrics!

  • Thou shalt not speak ill of something you don't understand

  • ...Oh so ive been rated -3. Can nobody take a joke?

  • Thou Shalt not read NME

  • Thou shalt not read NME

  • I bet that's acctually been good publicity for them. I still can't believe it wasn't mentioned.

  • yeah.

  • go to belladrum

  • if i could pick one place to go before i die, it would be the coachella festival, i look more forward to it then my birthday

  • thou shall not read NME?

  • haha. Yeah, huh? Interesting.

  • Read NME. READ. You can watch as much as you like.

  • fair point! i don't read the NME. i was merely commenting on the fact they said not to read it, then a couple of months later were on the front cover of it!

  • i hope they go to leeds fest

  • I saw Scroobius Pip today just walking down the road had a massive double take when I saw the beard!

  • Lowlands!!!

  • What happened to "thou shalt not read NME"...?

  • Sorry, I meant to press thumbs up, and yes, "Thou shalt not read NME." My thoughts exactly.

  • theyve spoken about this in another interview.

I think, and this is from memory, that they had some sort of issue with NME around the writing of Thou Shalt, but thats cleared up now.

Maybe, and i dont really know what NME is like as a magazine, maybe though they just believe that being in NME as an artist usually represents a sell out, therefore they arent contradicting themselves by being in NME, as long as they do not sell out.

  • Well that brings up the question, at least for me anyway, as to their beef with Coca Cola and Nestle. I buy from both of them. :'(

  • Coca cola and nestle both have unethical buisness practises. Google it. Not sure about nestle but i know coca cola uses the columbian paramilitary to force workers (essentially slavery) to remain working at minimal pay, if they try to leave they get shot.

The coca cola you drink is probably manufactured by slaves.

  • the cocoa cola i drink is also delicious

  • you're mistaken feller, it tastes of sugar and chemicals, rots your teeth and stomach, and its manufacture shafts people all over the developing world, how can that taste delicious?

  • Thou shall always kill is meant to be a contradiction listen to pips interview on xfm

  • Thou shalt not read NME

  • did anyone else notice a stutter from Pip? he mentions having one in 1000 words. if so its crazy that the man is such a lyrical God

  • Not really, havin a stutter isn gonna affect your lyrical creativity!

  • It's quite a common story for someone to find that speaking rehearsed words doesn't trigger their stutter or stammer, and to go from there to being much more comfortable on stage with planned words, than off-stage with an impromptu discussion.

    H.

  • whey, they said kendal calling thats where i saw em at noice

  • the whole not readin nme and stuff well they said theyre are loads of contradictions in that song and this must be one

  • wow. theyre awesome.

  • who is dan le sac and who is scroobius pip??

  • Scroobius Pip is the one with the wicked cool, big beard xD

  • scroob has the massive beard

  • theyre not reading nme theyre talking through nmetv thats a difference

nme writes shit, those guys talking with their own words.

    (important)

  • Well if you state thou shalt not read the new york times and then show up at an interview then??

  • what happened to thou shalt not read NME?

  • haha, ya i know, maybe no one read the lyrics that worked there. jeez it must have been weird when they got a letter asking for a interview

  • thou can change your mind when money is involved!! Who hasnt?

  • Good point! Next thing you know he'll be expressing his shock that Sharon got off with Brad at a club last night by saying "issit?"

  • I'd tap that.

  • I love these guys!
