The motorstorm system is the same one included with the MGS4 bundle actually, it wasn't updated until the later non-bc 80gb came out (the one I have).

The 80 gig metal gear is a unique ps3 because it has a 65nm GPU compared to the original 80 gig's 90nm gpu. Its the most energy efficient backwards compatible ps3. So less heat.

You're wrong though, the MGS4 bundle still has the 90nm GPU but it has the 65nm Cell, it's the SAME system that shipped with Motorstorm.

The later 80gb (the 40gb with a bigger hard drive) that came out around August or so 2008 still has the 90nm GPU in it too.

The later revision of that same system which started shipping around October or November 2008 (and I think this accounts for all the 160gb systems) is the first one to have the 65nm GPU, it has an L in the model number instead of a K.

If I'm not mistaken the slim is also using this same version of the 65nm GPU, but of course it has the newer 45nm cell in it.

The MGS4 system and the Motorstorm system are the same system.

Yeah but motorstorm had 90nm and 90nm. The metal gear has 65nm cell and 90nm gpu( i mixed them up). There are many debates arguing this, but people tested the original and new one. Slim has 45nm and 45nm btw.

I know exactly what you mean, man. A lot of people complain that there are too many cutscenes within the game, but I think that's what makes it so great. The storyline was so intense and emotional.  The most compelling game I've ever played. :)

Yeah, I ordered it back when the bundle was available directly from Amazon for $499. Now the prices are like $600+ because people are trying to resell for profit. Hope you get yours soon though. :)

If it helps, the backwards compatibility isn't all as it's hyped up to be. I rarely use it because playing PS2 games on an HDTV feels sort of lacking than it used to on regular TVs.

A lot of people are selling the 60GB PS3s for high prices because it was the last of the PS3s to feature hardware backwards compatibility through the emotion engine chip, which allows PS3s to play PS2 games flawlessly and natively as a normal PS2 would. The PS3 I have features BC through software emulation, which only allows for some PS2 games to be played, but not all. Hope that helps.

Haha, that's true. To be honest, I haven't really been playing any PS2 games on my PS3. At first, I thought I was going to, but when it all comes down to it. Playing current gen games is just so beautiful, and I can't go back to playing games on SD. Having the BC feature is nice, but I could have lived without it.
