I know that to a lot of you, it might not be the same, but I thought I'd inform those unaware of the anime's continuity; While there is no more Star Ocean EX anime after this, the second part of the story was continued and ended via japanese drama CD's. So concider the anime part 1 of the Star Ocean: Second Story/Evolution non-video game adaption.

@aznliloangel Yes the game has the final ending. The anime is merly only half of the whole game. you can either get it on 2 system. 1 is the original PSX version and the other is on the PSP. Just search it under "Star Ocean 2"

For those who watched the anime, the game is much better and more serious. There are too many anime cliches for me to have enjoyed half of this. The characters are very cliche and are almost unrecognizable (personality-wise) to their PSX counterparts.

Yeesh, this anime was terrible compared to the game. I mean, not only did they add pointless stuff not from the game and leave some stuff out. For example, Rena is not a shrine maiden of any kind. She's the daughter of a scientist, and from the distant past of Nede, the home of the Sorcery Globe's creators. Also, in the game, Expel is destroyed and the group gets sent to Energy Nede with the people they're fighting, which is more than just Gabriel. 10 wise men from Nede's ancient history revived

I've wondered why they didn't stick more to the story of the game. Up to the point where Expel was destroyed could have been done in the same number of episodes. I have no idea why they added the three thugs that weren't in the game. I think it was better how it came as more of a surprise that the world was being destroyed in the game. I think the anime did a pretty good job with the personalities of the characters though.
