Yes I like this though I'm not a mega TW fan.

Some covers I like too, maybe because I heard them first.

The official Cibelle cover which includes TW in part of it is a bit weird but there is a live youtube which I like.

And the 'Green Grass and Crazy Hair'(loaded by Peyrson) is well done but proper TW fans are likely to hate it.

I affirm that Tom Waits should never be covered. I myself am a musician, small-time producer, and recording artist and I would never touch it. Certain things just should be left as they are, just me.

Tom is actually a very good singer. Listen to his early years if this particular tone doesn't suit you. You may like the earlier years. Tom is a vocal tone freak. He can sing so many styles and tones. He actually is deliberately sounding this way for artistic effect. Some people cant conceptualize that. It doesn't matter. There's those of us who do get it.  Viva la difference.

It's a matter of personal taste. I also think Leonard Cohen writes great lyrics, but I don't like his voice either. Lil Wayne I find amusing and annoying, but I wouldn't say I enjoy his music. This song is so mesmerizing, I could listen to it all day long. There is no other music that makes me think and feel more deeply than Tom Waits. I know of no other artist who has so captured such a wide range of human emotions and experiences and presented them in raw, unpolished and mesmerizingly beautiful forms. Honesty has a voice and it is Tom Waits.
