The only reason why we have a horrible education system is because we have subsidized it; the same thing has also happened with our healthcare system. With the Government wanting to serve as an intermediary for public welfare systems, our taxes will go up significantly. The only way a socialized healthcare system will ever be successful in this country is if we centralize it within the states.
The attitude of the person asking the question is exactly what has screwed America. Back in 2000, we took success for granted, and we figured, what the hell, I'll just vote an idiot into office, it doesn't matter anyway--they're all the same right? But guess what? We found out the hard way that it does actually matter who is in office--or at least, you'd think we would. This guy obviously didn't.
blah.blah,blah,blah. Americans can ALL agree we want better Health Care, Education and Employment. If you go against those three something is wrong, that should be bipartisan. We are the richest country with a number of unemployed citizens, uneducated citizens and the poorest healthcare.
Dammit, Gravel got cut off before he could rebuttal Obamas lame excuse for taking private interest group money. Spread the time fairly dammit! It's 90% Clinton/Obama and the other 6 get the scraps. Change in 08, GRAVEL for President!
cnn is not being professional...they think they can tell us who is going to win and puts them center stage and give Mike Gravel 4min of talking time...thats ridiculous....send cnn a mail today....just type contact cnn in your search bar
Obama's response was more than Gravel deserved. There's a reason why campaigns need lots of money--commericals, staff, travel--it ain't cheap. Full disclosure is at least a step in the right direction. On a side note, lack of funds isn't the reason Gravel going to lose, he just makes a complete ass of himself with every public appearance.
Ueber, you are wrong, if Gravel loses, it will be b/c corporate America is affraid of the change he will create. Corporate America wants to keep the current system in place so that the middle class pays ALL the taxes and large corporations pay NONE!
everyone on stage is part of the new world order! ron paul is the only one

I still prefer obama, but paul seems good as well. If it ends up between them two, I don't know what I'm going to do...

So Ueber who do you support for President in 2008?
billj500 4 years ago
Biden is proud of "the crime bill"? Wow. Good to know that he's proud of building more prisons and stripping citizens of their rights. Ron Paul 2008.
