  • fuck dubstep...this is true music

  • STILL love it at 60! Great times! We weren't on drugs and sometimes were sober...

Santa Cruz Boardwalk says it all!

  • My Dad taught high school in the late '50's and early '60's. I was brought along on field trips and other outings so I was exposed to this stuff pretty much as a toddler.

Talk about yer time warp. I haven't heard this in 50 years!

  • I remember this song...always liked it. Thanks for posting :)

  • I haven't heard this song for many many years yet I was singing right along with it, lol. Thanks for posting it for us bosquig.

  • @aceshigh, yes they did, you can find it here under "Beep Beep"...

Greetings to all of my fellow seniors with good taste!

Glad we all could make it!

  • @dumboldon ty old fart here

  • Call it Senior Citizenship, at least it's music. Music is no longer being recorded. It's now called rip-rap, flip-flop, mumbo-jumbo, jungle music.

  • I never thought I would find this song on YT

It is so astounding to hear this song again. It brings back such great memories, in a time when life was so much simpler. AND FUN. To all of us that remember this song, welcome to Senior Citizenship and congratulations on making it. Hang on to your memories. It will keep your "heart soft and strong." I still have my copy from 50 years ago. And thank you, "bosquig" you have brought such a smile to my mind.

  • This group is great. Here, they are singing a rather lighthearted song, but compare to "Wait For Me." Love both songs golden hits from a golden age. Thank you for the post. Great song. Incidently, didn't this group record a somewhat funny song about a Nash Rambler and a Cadillac?????

  • @aceshigh130 Yes, to Nash Rambler, it is the "Beep Beep"song!!!!

  • OMG! I have looked for this for YEARS!! Thank you so much! :-)

  • my grandpa always sings this to me and my friend told me that u have the sojxhvjdng on youtube so i went on here and found it........it sounds so good to hear it again........ THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song doesn't get played on "Oldies" stations for some reason. Napster (10 years ago) and YouTube (today) are terrific ways to recover those gems that still stick in the memory. That's how I found another old gem you'll never hear on the radio, "My Daddy Is President." The little Caroline Kennedy song.

  • I was wondering if anyone has the Playmates version of the song "On the Beach" - I've been looking for it for ages - long ago I used to have an album by them (don't remember the name of it) but "On the Beach" was on it. Hoping someone can help and post this great song. Thanks...

  • Oh my gosh, thank you. I have heard this song but never knew who sang it. I heard it a long time ago when I used to watch a band play 50's and 60's music and it was one of the songs played during there break

  • That WAS a long time ago! I remember the song but forgot who sang it!! Thanks for the memories!

  • Finally, I found this song... for years I've had this tune in my head. Thanks for posting!!!

  • man i havent heard this in years great job

  • A GREAT record! I LUV IT! Thanx for

taking the time and effort to post it

    Bosquig.

  • Oh to be 16 again THANKS

  • OMG! I've been looking for this song for the past 20 plus years ever since I heard it on the radio. I didn't know the name of it, and my search eventualy led me through the technological time barrier to you tube where I searched in vain for 30 min. until I just typed in the first line that I remembered. Thank you so much. It's a sweet, kind of corny song that brings back sweet memories of a simpler era gone my:)

  • Heard a few other songs by the Playmates on youtube and didn't think I knew them - but this one I remember. Nice.

  • This song brings back so many memories. My big brother would play it for me when he would come home on leave from the Navy. I was only 8 or 9 years old. Thanks

  • Whoa! That's almost as far back as I go! That is, I owned the original 45 at one time. Thanks for posting it, very nice quality too.

  • Thank you bosquig!!! Great memories!

  • You're welcome; I'm glad I could elicit a smile!

  • yay!
