  • youre mentioning scent and how it triggers memories... its how the olfactory system (sense of smell) and limbic system (where memory and emotion lives, amongst other things) works together. im an aromatherapist and learned about this, since we dont want to trigger any bad memories with any client we treat, its meant to be a pleasant experience. :-)) - like your music is a most pleasant experience, i love it! thanks!

  • Stop rabbiting on and play Dam you. No only jokin. Nice tune.

  • Love your side notess :D haha

  • damn... i love you man >D NO HOMO!!!! >P

  • Note: I meant music* in that second sentence... :)

  • Hi John,

I'll try to keep this short. You are my favorite guitarist on earth and I Love your must more than anything. No matter where I look, your music beats all by far. I've only been able to learn a song or two that you've done, but I still enjoy it so much.

Question: When did you start? How many people do you perform in front of normally? How did you learn (Your right hand movements)?

A friend who hopes to learn a lot of your songs,

    Ben :)

  • what camera do you use, and at what frame rate or setting do have it on that can get the strings to not become a blur when you film?

that looks great and I would love to achieve that for one of my videos

    thanks!

  • Way cool. "Machine Head Cam"! I just watched "The Voluptuous Woman" again (I re-named it for you - properly) and would love to see it played from this Machine Head Cam view. Your skills have progressed nicely since you recorded TVW. You were a little sloppy with her (didn't detract from the song at all though) and I would love to see a remake. Not to replace that cool video but to compliment it. I love your style - am a new fan. Keep picking you bring joy to others.

  • i love how u have to tell us each noise we hear lol like oops the chair oo yaa my chord lol ii love love love your videos!! i just bought a guitar myself acoustic and..well so far its tuned!! OOO YAAAA hahaha anywho please dont stop making videos u play so amazing!

  • Take a seat finally ^^

  • Nice!

  • Nice improv!

  • @BraydonSzafranski Although... you said it was a song... if so, it's very loose, compositionally. It sounds like messing around to me.

  • skilled... wish i could play like that but i reckon you have to grow up with it and learn those gribs and thoase... ehhh... is it called "impacts" in UK? the you hit the strings with the left hand :) anyway you have to learn it from the start... if i had to learn that now it would totally screw up with my own style and it would be like starting all over again... keep it up man you doing great you have a gift few have :)

  • You are my favorite Youtube guitarist that I subscribe to. I always watch your videos first. Keep it up!!

  • Pretty..

  • Awesome*****

  • You know there was a bigger spill than the Exxon Valdez in Louisiana during hurricane Katrina? More ads because they are the ones in power. So far they have dumped more than 42 million gallons of dispersants on the spill, and who is to say that that crap is any better than the oil itself? We just need to collectively give up on oil and switch over to alternatives. All of the United States fuel needs can be supplied by bio-diesel grown in 15% of the Sonora desert. We help keep them in power.

  • Loved it!

  • Hey John,

Did you ever thing think of walking over to where the drummers play at the martime museum amp? Since you seem to be in a freestyle mood lately...might be fun to jam with some real freestyle guys.

  • I love your music, but if you upload a new video every week, it wouldn't be something special. uploade it whenever you want to :)

  • this is great man! id really like to play in the style you do! its just GREAT!

  • Not only do I really enjoy your music, but hearing the hustle and bustle of people as background to it really adds to the experience. I really like the effect.

  • @xippolighter I was about to comment on this too, but you beat me to it! The ambiance does add a nice effect. It just feels so much warmer. Another great upload, John Clarke.

    Thank you!

  • Pretty! Are you playing mostly scales? Come to Atlanta and I'll watch you play! :)

  • good stuff man, do you have any right and left hand practice tricks or techniques you can show us

  • put up more uptempo songs please. songs like fuerte!!!

  • Thanks for sharing your daydream. I love the colors in this video... dreamy.

  • Sounds a bit upbeat, but oddly relaxing. A good combination to make a great song!

  • I've always wondered: you're guitar isn't in standard tuning right? because when i try to play some of you're songs, they don't sound right. What is it tuned in? Can you give me the notes of each string? And is it always tuned like that? Sorry that i'm asking some many questions but i just started to play the guitar a year ago and i'm REALLY interested in this type of music.

I don't take lessons, I learn by looking and hearing. :)

  • @mexicandowndastreet4

I very rarely use alternate tunings. The tuning in this song is standard: EADGBE

  • @johnclarkemusic my guitar must be out of tune :\ haha thanks tho!!! Makes it easier for me :)

  • @johnclarkemusic Dude, I've never seen strumming like @ 2:17-19 Sound is so pretty. Wish I could get my hands on a real guitar.. great song.

  • @johnclarkemusic but your strings look so loosened

  • @mexicandowndastreet4 you just have to keep playing his song over and over again....when i first tried playing most evolved it sounded nothing like the original....you have to match the speed and rythym of the original for it to sound like it....tuning is normal

  • @mexicandowndastreet4 if you didn't know he's using a spanish guitar, an acoustic guitar, sorry if that doesn't help

  • @Fr3akoSuav3 haha i kinda know that >< i have one of my own. but thanks anyway!!! :D

  • @mexicandowndastreet4 too bad it was stolen XD

  • @Woobster87 this guy! xD

  • @mexicandowndastreet4 It might be because of the type of string. In most of his videos, if not all, he uses classical guitar strings which are made of nylon. Most acoustic guitars come with a set of metal strings, and that's probably the case with you.

  • Ulteriori acustico e corsa libera. Disinvolta, come galleggianti, forse, sulle nuvole. Adventures. Assolutamente meravigliosa.

  • You're awesome! :D

  • Amazing as always.
