I may have missed it, but I did not notice any reference to torque and the drain plug? Per the service specs for my 2009 Yamaha R6 it requires the following torque: M14: 4.3m-kg (31 ft-lb). Otherwise... very nice video.
How dirty is the chain .... 500 miles to clean and lube the chain it is so much .. i lube every 300km,or after a rain ... and i cleanand lube every 500 km , or if the rain catch me ... i lube.
@BQGDDAN51 - Manufacturer (per Yamaha 2009 YZF-R6 Owners Manual) recommends drive chain maintenance every 500 mi (800 km) and after washing the motorcycle or riding in the rain. Of course, I am sure doing it more often isn't a bad thing other than taking more of your time.
i have my 05 R6 do you think its about the same with the shift linkage ? i have not change the oil on her yet and was just wondering Thanks :) and great video you made me laugh brother
wow nice video man i just learned how to do my first oil change with your techniques. i just got my bike and little light smoke was coming out near the exhaust and blowing toward the front of the bike??? do you know what this is?
WOW what a friggin hassle! (compared to my old SV650s) just had to pop the drain bolt off and oil filter and away you go...but then again.. if you truly LOVE your bike then nothing is too much hassle =D
could i use the same oil with a 2002 r6?
