  • i just went to ENT specialist yesterday and he said its a possibility i could have a chloesteatoma. he never really explained it in laymans so i decided to google it, sounds like a blast. he had me on drops for a bit to get rid of my ear bleeding so much, and then he powdered it and said wait a few days for drops and then i get a cat scan or something in a week or so...who knows.

  • Yes the operation entails removing a large amount of the mastoid bone.

The bone is drilled away with a small burr. The eardrum if damaged is repaired with a grafted piece of tissue.

  • i had cholesteatoma surgery(mastoidectomy),last Thurs. is it normal,te exsperience pain for a few days?
