The Moray Eel already must have been envenomated. The sea snake is one of the most venomous snakes that exist on this planet. The venom paralyzes the victim. I guess that is why the Moray Eel could not place a real harmful bite on the snake anymore.
i agree babe4fish13, but there are some good dive story sites on the net too. Try the myscubastory site. They have real life dive stories and dive accident videos. Put myscubastory into google, and its the first result.
From the previous video I just watched the eel needs to aim for the snakes head and then bite it's body. Then the diver needs to laugh the gayest laugh he can. That's the only way it can escape.
@808Hea Mhm. I mean, moray's can bite off a grown man's thumb without much effort. I suppose it was the snake's venom. Little known fact: Most Sea Snake's venom is like a cobra's. A neuro toxin. Could basically paralyze you. Might expliain why the eel isn't fighting back much.
@tehubernessofuber Yeah back in hawaii I saw this man catch an eel for bait. He tried to instiant kill it. As soon as his hands got close it ripped off his middle finger and my dad drove him to the hospital. Thoese eels are very aggresive. But that snokes toxin prolly did most of the dammage.
@Aldind2x Yes your right..How ever you must take into account that the venom tests are done on mice and mice and humans may react way differently to different venoms. So while the inland taipan is the most drop for drop venomous to mice we really cant say for sure which is the most venomous to humans
As for the box jellyfish...very painful and very venomous. I dont think its more venomous than the most venomous snakes but theirs no real way to know[ unless tested on humans which is impossible]
@Aldind2x The most dangerous snakes are Asian land snakes. They havethe nastiest venoms and are really aggressive and their venom causes horrible symptoms. I'm not sure on sea kraits..but I know that land kraits are incredibly potent and have extremely high untreated fatality rates..Imo the land kraits[ bungarus] have the most toxic venom in the world to humans along wit the taipans
As for a spider being able to kill a healthy adult human in 30 minutes..I dont believe it unless its an allergy
@Aldind2x Venom takes time to kill... It doesn't kill instantly unless the animal is small. Humans typically die 24 hours of so after a snake bite.... And as I said the moray eels from the pacific are known to be highly resistant to sea krait venom.. Where as moray eels from the Caribbean are extremely weak to the venom and die when injected with even a very small dose of sea krait venom
@PrimevalHunter300 I would be very suprised if it choked. Most Sea Snakes can stay underwater for days at a time with the little bits of air they get.
"Eels of the genus Gymnothorax from the Pacific are selectively preyed upon by banded sea kraits (Laticauda colubrina) and have been reported to sustain massive doses of sea krait venom without ill effect. By contrast, the present study found that Gymnothorax moringa from the Caribbean, where no sea snakes occur, are sensitive to sea krait venom, with doses as small as 0.1 mg/kg proving to be lethal." Heres the link... .ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9643474
@Folk4Life100 Pacific Moray Eels are highly resistant to sea snake venom. Moray eels from the Caribbean are not resistant and are extremely weak to the venom
@cupcakelee It creates an infinite loop. If another couple decides to join this process, an error may occur, causing a rip in time, which will inevitably create a worm hole.
how is the snake gonna survive all those savage attacks do u guys have any idea how powerful a morey eels bite is ? It can take off a human finger w one chomp
I couldn't stay long enough (drift dive:)) but the snake probably won, and digested for a looong time. I've read somewhere that sea snakes actually feed on moray eels, even though these images seem against nature.
@melderib can tell me how much of the morey eel was already eaten? The morey eel looks just as thick as the snake but not sure how long it is? It is a baby eel i think?
@melderib Well since the pacific eels are so resistant to the venom, I wouldn't be surprised if the eel won. The moray eels from the Caribbean are a whole different matter through, as they are extremely weak to the venom and are easily killed by sea snake venom.
@cateyes221981 I can give u a link that will tell u why if u want.Basically what it says is that eels fromthe pacific were resistant to sea krait venom but eels from the Caribbean were extremely weak to the venom and died when injected with even extremely tiny doses of the sea krait venom. Being that its in the Philippines.the eel likely was pretty resistant to the venom. However even if this was a Caribbean eel the venom doesnt kill instantly it takes time even when the animal is very weak to it
Agreed with brenkeller, that is a once in a lifetime video. Well done.
Imagine the Moray had started eating the snake from the tail end. I wonder what the snake would have done when it reached the eel's head only to realise that it had swallowed half of itself already!
Amazing. I can't believe that Moray survived the initial invenomation from the krait! That's a once in a lifetime video you got there, pal. Well done.
Amazing !!

Interesting. That eel was envenomated for sometime if the snake had swallowed that much. Moray's may have some degree of resistance to the venom.

Wow id expect the moray to fight back a lot harder. Iv seen them fight but this moray looks like hes kinda slow to react.
