  • The first time I came across electronic music was when I went to see A Clockwork Orange about 1973.The opening scene when all the gang were in the Milk Bar,it was

an electronic version of L.v. Beethoven by Walter Carlos, got the L.P. & played it to death.Went to see Krafterk live in M/cr. about 74 in town,The Odean I think. They had all the background effects even then, electronic drums with cables coming off the drum sticks etc.,36 years ago!.Still great.

  • @manutdok1 You lucky lucky bas....... sorry, envy creepin up on me.

I managed to see em in London 1990.

Regardless of what anyone thinks all modern E music regardless of genre relates back to these synthgods

  • kraftwerk invented bluemangroup, tron, and laptop computers. it's all theirs, for us.

  • Super! It was amazing then.

Krafwerk are one of the founders of elecronic music. People who say that they suck don't know nothing about the music. All the great producers of electronical music are influenced by kraftwerk.

  • TOTALLY COOL!

  • 01000111 01100101 01101110 01101001 01110101 01110011 00100000 00111011 01000100

  • @Smileyflyer

    Binary!!

  • @cchua1986 there are 10 types of people in the world; the ones who understand binary and the ones who don't...

  • @xraycortina I count 11. Those that don't care.

  • didnt Daft Punk have a song called Aerodynamic?

both amazing electronic bands, i guess there are only so many electronic words lol

    LOVE this band <3

  • Note that Kraftwerk's song is called "Aerodynamik", not "Aerodynamic".

    ;-)

  • Pretty sure this track was released before Daft Punk. I used to like Daf Punk but I find they go to overboard on sampling. They're great at what they do and make enjoyable music but they never had the originallity of Kraftwerk.

  • yes it have but daft punk is way better

  • This is still one of my favorite tracks ever.

  • @eteb0000 its disputed, but kraftwerk were alot more influential. and they contributed alot more to the genres of electronic music, techno, synth pop, etc all cite kraftwerk as a main influence. each to ones own dude, but you cant not cite kraftwerk as one of the main if not main influence of electronic music and composition :)

  • @cacophony1 can you tell me what is your information source please? i was doing some research about Tecktonik and i couldn´t find any place refering to kraftwerk as an influencial of tecktonik music.

  • These guys invented Electronic music... so you'd better thank them for electro/techtonic.... :P

  • jabot

  • I was lucky enough to see Kraftwerk when i was 15 at Tribal Gathering 1997 where I also met John Peel. It is still my best gig to date and will never be beat.

  • @MODTRASH I recorded that show live on Radio 1. It is the best live show by Kraftwerk I have ever heard. When they play Radioactivity in that show every hair on my body stands to attention... Thrilling stuff! I actually left that tape at a previous house in 2002 :( gutted.

  • nice suits

  • sick!

  • i really love this music please dont take it off please leave it on youtube i really enoy this music it is a great robot song please leave it thank you

  • I think Kraftwerk might just have been the inventors of modern music. Far more revolutionary than The Beatles. For goodness sake, they invented a whole genre, style and built their own unique instruments!

  • @youandiaredominoes blasfeme

  • @youandiaredominoes Indeed. You're not the only one that thinks that. Anyone that knows anything about music knows that Kraftwerk are the original techno/house/electronic/dance purveyors.

  • i disagree.

  • ROFLMAO!!! they are checking their hotmail and filtering out the 'increase your manhood' and 'refinance your mortgage' emails that litter their inboxes...

  • and they happen to be dancing while doing so, haha

  • @breaker0021 Then how are they playing?

    Exactley.

  • This song is awesome!

  • I saw them yesterday in italy!!

    AWESOME!!!! What can I say....SPEECHLESS!!!!

  • I was there too :D

  • REALLY paradhouse!!!! i didnt konw they were still in action dude..... I love them!!!!!!!!

  • Ich bin ein kraftwerker!!

  • I saw them two nights ago in Prague at the Dark and Brooding Festival. Two of them actually moved! Brilliant!!

  • Ok, ok...sorry.. what if it were a lead guitarist hooked up to a crazy synthesizer singing about chemicals, radiation, polymer physics or some other cheerful subject while maintaining a gaunt, expressionless face? That would be cool, Claude and Viener, right? Jeez!

  • OMG, they are playing near lake Jarun in Zagreb today and I have the tickets!!!

    Aaaah! Perfect perfect!

  • All these groups mentioned above and I think many many more wouldn't exist without the influence of Kraftwerk... They are the Bing Bang of electronic music.

  • i must say that krafwerk was was in bucharest last night and it was the best electro concert ever. i saw jean michel jarre a few months ago and it was amazing....i never thought that music was this great 30-40 years ago.....

  • i pray to god that this amazing band will come to israel!!!

  • You might not have thought about but The BLUE MEN Group has learned a lot from Kraftwerk

  • ya don't say, lol!

  • Kraftwerk are the parents of: Depeche mode, Hot chip, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip, Fujiya Miyagi and so on

  • ... and maybe Hot Chip too

    ;)

  • jajajaja!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Nafoute hahahahaha

  • TRUE!!!

and the mother is Jean-Michel Jarre ;)

  • @diegolr87 And don't forget Daft Punk.

  • @diegolr87

Yes of course but you can't compare Depeche Mode with Franz Ferdinand!

  • @diegolr87

Yes of course but you can't compare Depeche Mode with Franz Ferdinand!

  • @diegolr87 why u even mentioning hot chip in the presence of the mighty kraftwerk?????? hang ur head in shame son

  • @diegolr87 And don't forget Hot Chip.

  • i think daft punk didnt copy kraftwerk..

there are just the next level

  • yeah you're right

  • @ killajomckenzie

    I Dissagree...Diffreent Style..Might Be.

I Don't Think Bugatti Is The Next Level For A Porsche...

'N' Daft Punk Is One Of My Influences.

  • they not the next level. because kraftwerk is future still today.

  • estos cuates estan chavos

  • very trippy song

  • Trippy like you didn't see that object on the floor.

  • KrAFtwERk?

    Son los mejores!

    C'est les meilleurs!

    They are the best!

  • Very good band, i saw them in the foro sol in Mexico city, very good¡¡¡, but i think that they didn´t evolution, they play the same, a prefer Radiohead, why a said this, ´cuse Kraftwerk open the radiohead´s concert

  • well dude i think theyre just amazing... and also i really think that before u do some critics about kraftwerk u should learn more english dont u think?

  • no, i dont care its not my languaje, its only an opinion, maybe you need to learn german to make an opinion if you want to see in this way, asshole.

  • Ok... just to let u know Ich spreche Deutsch , I speak English y tambien se hablar español.... So i think i made my point here....

    definitivo y absoluto!

    you! really asshole!!!

  • ???

    Menzen zijn rare wezens...

    People are strange creatures...

    Die Menschen sind seltsame Wesen...

Las personas son criaturas extrañas ....

why fight? enjoy the music, and stop hating each other for a difference.

  • Well...

    AERO DYNAMIK!!

  • its prob all pre recorded on abelton live now they jus sit up there on facebook... pokin each other and playin mafia wars

  • hahahah....

  • hahaha.. probbaly one of the guys for each music, just click on a windows media player movie file, and roll the music

  • they playing their own song on audiosurf up there!!!

  • so they actually kinda dance lol neat

  • excellent

    gretings from Macedonia

  • beautifull misik

  • electronic heaven

  • WOW..

  • The godfathers of electronic music!

  • am besten

  • Antares Audio Technologies(i thought their name was kraftwerk)

  • Your so stupid for answering back your just proving your a child!!!

  • You're right about that: I feel stupid now to have done so.

P.S.: Children aren't necessarily stupid. I have however noticed a high correlation in Youtube-commenters...

  • Auto-Tune is a proprietary audio processor that contains a phase vocoder. As I already said vocoders can be bought in the stores by now (even as software), you don't have to sit down with your soldering iron and built them yourself like Kraftwerk had to. If you think you know better what Daft Punk used in their songs than the Daft Punk members themselves (see the interview) you must be out of your mind.

  • not at all !!!! they used autotune for romanthany's voice, no vocoders!

  • Who the fuck gives a shit about vocoders, daft punk doesn't use them!!!

  • Thomas Bangalter disagrees with you according to an interview he has given to DJ Times:

DJ Times: When One More Time was released last year, a lot of U.K. press panned the record, criticizing the Vocoder effect being used on Romanthonys voice, [...]

Bangalter: [...] Its (the Vocoder) what we wanted to do we love to be able to use instruments the way we want to. Criticizing the Vocoder is like asking bands in the 60s, Why do you use the electric guitar?

  • That's actually a pretty good question, too. Hehe!

  • daft punk dosnt use any vocoders

  • People stop embarassing yourselves, it's hardly possible to point at anything in Electronic Music today that wasn't done by Kraftwerk 30 - 40 years ago. They started at a time in which they had to build their own instruments and vocoders, they couldn't just buy what they needed in the stores like today. Even Daft Punk would be embarassed that you people suggest that Kraftwerk copied from them rather than they other way around.

  • If kaftwerk didnt exist then electronic music would be flawles. but I guess satan had other plans!!!!

  • Best ever in electronic music history...KRAFTWERK. So genius perfect - without them there will be nothing in electronic music.

  • there's nothing to compare. Without the mighty Kraftwerk Daft Punk wouldn't have existed or done what they've done (man machine...human robot... same concept isn't it?).

Daft Punk are great tho. No winners no losers! I love them both.

  • blah blah blah.

  • Jaja, of course, you cant compare to kraftwerk with daft punk; kraftwerk is almost the pioneer about electronic music.

  • Pwnd

  • Yeah guys don't you know only old farts would understand this music.

  • pwned again

  • proving my point about daftpunk= kraftwerk wannabe:

    "AeroDynamik" - kraftwerk

    "Aerodynamic" - Daft Punk

    hmmm..

  • you're so correct..kraftwerk along with jean michael jarre not only were innovative...but actually made these synthesizers, through kits, soundwaves,etc...for a young cat to compare kratwerk to daft punk is silly..

  • Well, Kraftwerk wanted to make something about bicycles and I think they wanted to put the aerodynamic into a song...and not stealing ideas or titles from others like Daft Punk.

Sure, the titles are nearly the same but the music itself (which is the most important thing of course) is different so we have no wannabes here.

    case closed.

  • Ur right. Ur the first one whose excepted that nobody copied anyone.

  • How ignorant is that? :/

  • u stupid asshole... u cant compare Kraftwerk with daft"ass" punk.... kraftwerk is the godfather of electronic music... ur r sillllllly... no hard feelings m8

  • yeah dude...well then go watching some DP...

    darn it!

  • Daft Punk Woudnt exist without Kraftwerk....u should learn about your electro music!!!

  • wow awexxome Kraftwerk is still going!!! I have the 45 of Pocket Calculator :) IN its original clear platic picture sleeve I might add :)

  • PWNED

  • Kraftwerk wasnt doing this long bfore 'Blueman group' or 'DaftPunk'! DaftPunk just made it all cool! Senex90, you're truely a cool dude...You too, DiscoStorm! ! DAFT PUNK DAFT PUNK DAFT PUNK DAFT PUNK

  • you are the shit

  • kraftwerk was around well before the artists in the blueman group was alive...if you look at the early album art you will see this is pure kraftwerk.

  • who copied who ????

  • Daft Punk Copied Kraftwerk

  • its not copying, it's sampling.

  • what a subtle, and often unjustified in law, idea you portray.

  • how

  • hey it's the blue man group

  • agreed, blue man group copied kraftwerk!

  • agreeeeeee

  • daft punk rules

  • it does, but daft punk "aerodynamik" has nothing to do with it. it's a completely different track, just with the same title.

  • different title, actually, it's "aerodynamic" with a "c". It's a refrence to this awesome Kraftwerk track

  • daft punks aerodynamic is better than kraftwerks aerodynamik though.

  • Kraftwerk are a fucking classic man

  • vengan a MEXICO!!

  • vinieron en 2004

  • pues de nuevo, jaja, VENGAAANNN

  • cant fuckin wait to see them in singapore!!!
