Krafwerk are one of the founders of elecronic music. People who say that they suck don't know nothing about the music. All the great producers of electronical music are influenced by kraftwerk.
Pretty sure this track was released before Daft Punk. I used to like Daf Punk but I find they go to overboard on sampling. They're great at what they do and make enjoyable music but they never had the originallity of Kraftwerk.

@youandiaredominoes Indeed. You're not the only one that thinks that. Anyone that knows anything about music knows that Kraftwerk are the original techno/house/electronic/dance purveyors.

i must say that krafwerk was was in bucharest last night and it was the best electro concert ever. i saw jean michel jarre a few months ago and it was amazing....i never thought that music was this great 30-40 years ago.....

You should read the paper NEW PHASE-VOCODER TECHNIQUES FOR PITCH-SHIFTING, HARMONIZING AND OTHER EXOTIC EFFECTS by Jean Laroche and Mark Dolson which explains the technology that Antares uses in Audio-Tune. Apparently you do neither believe me nor Thomas Bangalter.
Auto-Tune is a proprietary audio processor that contains a phase vocoder. As I already said vocoders can be bought in the stores by now (even as software), you don't have to sit down with your soldering iron and built them yourself like Kraftwerk had to. If you think you know better what Daft Punk used in their songs than the Daft Punk members themselves (see the interview) you must be out of your mind.
Thomas Bangalter disagrees with you according to an interview he has given to DJ Times:
DJ Times: When One More Time was released last year, a lot of U.K. press panned the record, criticizing the Vocoder effect being used on Romanthonys voice, [...]
Bangalter: [...] Its (the Vocoder) what we wanted to do we love to be able to use instruments the way we want to. Criticizing the Vocoder is like asking bands in the 60s, Why do you use the electric guitar?
People stop embarassing yourselves, it's hardly possible to point at anything in Electronic Music today that wasn't done by Kraftwerk 30 - 40 years ago. They started at a time in which they had to build their own instruments and vocoders, they couldn't just buy what they needed in the stores like today. Even Daft Punk would be embarassed that you people suggest that Kraftwerk copied from them rather than they other way around.
there's nothing to compare. Without the mighty Kraftwerk Daft Punk wouldn't have existed or done what they've done (man machine...human robot... same concept isn't it?).
Daft Punk are great tho. No winners no losers! I love them both.
you're so correct..kraftwerk along with jean michael jarre not only were innovative...but actually made these synthesizers, through kits, soundwaves,etc...for a young cat to compare kratwerk to daft punk is silly..
Well, Kraftwerk wanted to make something about bicycles and I think they wanted to put the aerodynamic into a song...and not stealing ideas or titles from others like Daft Punk.
Sure, the titles are nearly the same but the music itself (which is the most important thing of course) is different so we have no wannabes here.
u stupid asshole... u cant compare Kraftwerk with daft"ass" punk.... kraftwerk is the godfather of electronic music... ur r sillllllly... no hard feelings m8

JohannFromm 3 years ago
That's actually a pretty good question, too. Hehe!
interpolluter29 2 years ago
daft punk dosnt use any vocoders
chrischrisdtsafg 3 years ago
People stop embarassing yourselves, it's hardly possible to point at anything in Electronic Music today that wasn't done by Kraftwerk 30 - 40 years ago. They started at a time in which they had to build their own instruments and vocoders, they couldn't just buy what they needed in the stores like today. Even Daft Punk would be embarassed that you people suggest that Kraftwerk copied from them rather than they other way around.
JohannFromm 3 years ago 5
If kaftwerk didnt exist then electronic music would be flawles. but I guess satan had other plans!!!!
rurudtsafg 3 years ago
Best ever in electronic music history...KRAFTWERK. So genius perfect - without them there will be nothing in electronic music.
Parthoris 3 years ago
there's nothing to compare. Without the mighty Kraftwerk Daft Punk wouldn't have existed or done what they've done (man machine...human robot... same concept isn't it?).
Daft Punk are great tho. No winners no losers! I love them both.

Jaja, of course, you cant compare to kraftwerk with daft punk; kraftwerk is almost the pioneer about electronic music.

are you for real mate. kraftwerk are from the 70s lad. how the fuck they copying daft punk. its like saying the cassette tape copied the compact disc
abelton2007 3 years ago
you're so correct..kraftwerk along with jean michael jarre not only were innovative...but actually made these synthesizers, through kits, soundwaves,etc...for a young cat to compare kratwerk to daft punk is silly..
superfunkyheroe 3 years ago
Well, Kraftwerk wanted to make something about bicycles and I think they wanted to put the aerodynamic into a song...and not stealing ideas or titles from others like Daft Punk.
Sure, the titles are nearly the same but the music itself (which is the most important thing of course) is different so we have no wannabes here.
case closed.

it does, but daft punk "aerodynamik" has nothing to do with it. it's a completely different track, just with the same title.
AnemoneAlaundorl 3 years ago 4
different title, actually, it's "aerodynamic" with a "c". It's a refrence to this awesome Kraftwerk track
SirQuady 3 years ago
daft punks aerodynamic is better than kraftwerks aerodynamik though.
