i just watched this again on HBO just now. it was a favorite movie of mine in High School. Aesthetically, it has held up really nicely for being released 1990!

Love this movie!! James Spader and Rob Lowe really played well opposite each other. Talk about role reversals...James was the good guy and Rob was the evil one. Always wondered if the movie would have even been better if they had cast to type? And yes there were definitely some gay undertones in the movie though nothing overt.
