I played in a cover country band in the 90's & early 2000's. Blackhawk was a staple in our set lists. They always had a hit on the radio. Heck, the first 5 songs from their first album were top radio hits! This song (That's Just About Right) is cut #5 from the first album "Goodbye Says It All". These guys are as talented songwriters as they are musicians. Their sound was MY sound. Perfection! They couldn't be more "dialed in" to my sense of musical style (when it comes to country).

Arguably, the best country band of the mid 90's/early 2000's. Diamond Rio also great. I have every album BH put out. Restless Heart ruled the 80's/early 90's and Blackhawk took up the mantle from there. Every song of highest quality. "Goodbye says it" all and the "Love & Gravity" albums are my faves. Hated to see Van pass when he did. His guitar playing, high harmonies, and song writing are missed. His diminutive stature diminished his "face time" on the videos next to the other two.
