@RayLiotta22 yeah that guy is the main coach of many of the Chinese players. He is primarily responsible for Ma Lin and Wang Hao's success. Ma Lin has worked with him for like a decade now. Hence why when Ma Lin won the olympic gold, the first person he went to thank and hug was this guy.

Can any nation really beat China in today's table tennis? I am Chinese but I dislike domination, for the better development of the sport world-wide. Well, I guess I don't know, because China alone is developing the sport really well.... and the presence of a real table tennis league is really some pioneer thing.... large amount of quality players production year after year, gov-funded wages, facilities and all other supports... can any country seriously beat that?

The ubiquitous number of players generate enormous amount of the related needs: equipment, desire to watch games, get training, then they need more places to play, and more tables, better floor, and more importantly, TV broadcasts. TV broadcast is what attract the whole world of business come invest money in it, because they get popular in China in a blink because they sponsor.

@mdiv I think the german players are very good at the moment. Its a very hard battle between china and germany. mostly china wins 3:1 oder 3:2 but its harder for them to beat germany than korea or japan for example.
