WOW, very great. The guitar sounds good too....I would like to check one of those out for myself sometime. I am down in FL however, guess I need to google that model for dealers.
Great playing. I was never that hott for Eastmans as others seemed to be ... thought they were just ok but but this guitar has a great acoustic sound. Having a guitar wizard play it doesn't hurt.
@petestorz i've actually never seen a 19'' before thats pretty damn big but clearly you do not have a hard time playing it haha. for a beginner what body size is recommended? i've played a 16'' before but it dosnt feel substantial enough.
As far as Jazz boxes are concerned, I'll take an Eastman over a Gibson any day of the week. Those skinny necks on Gibson guitar piss me off to no end. Of course, I'd rather have a Benedetto Manhattan, but my chops don't warrant a $25K guitar. Thus the Eastman.
Nice guitar. I wouldn't have loaned that pretty guitar to Joe Pass. Nor to anyone! No way man, no way! Oh? it was you playing? Well yeah.. Great stuff..
beautiful job; yrs ago i saw a transcription by jon damian i think from berklee of the virtuoso album. was that your source? or did you do it the super super hard way-one phrase at a time? congrats regardless. sounds fantastic!!
Pete you have really done this great captured the Pass sound and touch. I knew Joe a bit and this is still my favorite type of solo playing he did just free and then with swing,. Well done! I post one of mine for you soon.
Hey mate, in response to your comment, have you heard the joe pass version from his Virtuoso album? i believe the accuracy was correct to his version off that album. my congrats for learning this song too btw pete, fantastic playing and great job of transcribing the song =)
Tasty guitar. Total playing; techs and chops. The guitar has a great sound, but would be even better through a mixer, to cut out the room acoustics. I'm nit-picking! Thanks for this. 5*
hi great chord work there, interesting harmonies did you know that ravel covered every jazz chord in "le gibet" piano piece in early 1911 wow please give it a listen hugely melancholy though.would you recommend eastman as a make do they have flat neck profiles and wide fingerboards for big hands Ireally wanted an old yamaha ae1200 but its out of production by more than twenty years ,dam!
Nice playing. I know that recording of Pass' so well. How are you liking that big Eastman? I have the 805. It sounds great but that 910 is big, dude :)
very cool...

This is the first Eastman video I've seen with a good player!
More people might consider them if good players were see using them.
Peter, lovely playing.
What is your honest opinion on the Eastman's quality?

@melrhyne
Check out Howard Morgen. He makes his Eastman sound great also.

Splendid performance! Do you have a complete version? I was following along in the book and it stopped with a page or two to go.
Either way, great job and I love hearing another (similar) but great interpretation of this arrangement!

The chords were good, but you need to polish your timing up. It isn't cool to do that.
