  • i literally passed college algebra because of you patrick... and I'm looking on passing pre cal with your help, i just aced my first test because i did the whole review off your videos!! man keep them coming! my professor blows!! thanks again

  • @casper671993 congrats! and i could stop making videos today and there would be enough stuff to get you all the way through calculus :)

  • Awesome teacher!!!

  • My pre-cal teacher told us that if we miss even a single day in the 2nd semester, we would get screwed over. 2nd semester started last week and i already missed 2 days >.> I have a quiz on this tomorrow and this vid really helped me! thanks!

  • ?? i dont get this

  • Patrick, using dimensional analysis is much easier and is used extensively in science and engineering

  • es que te amo!

  • Sorry I meant to put my comment on your other vid.

  • What if you have a whole number as a radian and have to convert to a degree?

Example: convert degree to radian = 3. Would you multiply 3 by 180/pi?

  • My college needs professors like you!

  • this is definitely going to be how I'm going to pass my Pre-Calc Class youre the man

  • tnx i learn it

  • You make more sense than my book.

  • I'm not a math person, just trying to understand. Why must the answers include pi? Why isn't the answer to 180 degrees just 3.14 radians?

  • @rubycreek Because 3.14 isn't accurate enough.

Pi isn't exactly 3.14, using pi provides an exact answer

  • I don't know why, maybe it is the lack of sleep, but I lol'd when you said "I lost my pi there for a second," I imagined someone losing a pie :o. Thank you for this video, god, the whole time all I had to do was put it over 180 and simplify

  • omg I think you just saved my life!! My quarter final is this week and I cant remember most of the things we learned in class, your videos help me so much with reviewing, thanks for posting them!

  • why do all teachers hate teaching? If we had guys like this at school who actually like to teach and want you to succed then no one would have problems!

  • @ishowyouapple saying all teachers hate teaching is so totally super ridiculous and a really cruddy attitude to have. this is precisely why i never want to teach again.

  • @patrickJMT you saying that you never want to teach again because of one person saying something negative about a minority of teachers he has encountered is quite hypocritical as he is also the minority of negative pupils.

  • @muzzleberrie actually I've noticed quite a few of my peers have the same view as ishowyouapple

  • @patrickJMT Could you do a lesson over radian measures after a certain number of rotations? =)

  • @ishowyouapple perhaps you could've studied harder in HS and gone to a better University , they got better professors. Professors don't hate teaching but some Students expect College to be like High School and don't put enough time on the subject. As far s international Prof. some get annoyed that in America , most schools don't require Trig. do graduate HS,and learn it in freshmen and sophomore year of College,in the rest of the world,Calculus,Trig,Physics, are all thought starting 8th grade.

  • @ishowyouapple Most teachers deserve more respect than you're giving them. I'd never want to teach particularly because of that reason. Sure you're going to get some bad teachers that don't care and can't teach. But! I can't count on two hands the amount of amazing teachers who loved teaching and did a great job at it.

  • Dude in 5 Min you did what my teacher couldn't in over a week.. Thank you!!!!!

  • Thank you!

  • You are so brilliant and helpful. Thank you! You are like my own personal homework tutor. :)

  • Yay! i understand now! Thank u!

  • Can you do a Tuto on how to convert to Gradians?

  • we just did radians today! thanks :) this was amazing review

  • @LastGenStudio perfect!

  • thanks a lot:)

  • very useful

  • Great, thanks.. now i do it a lot quicker: -450/180 = -5/2 = -5/2π And to convert back i just replace π with 180: -5/2π = -5/2(180)= -450 thanks!!

  • thanks. this is very useful to me to
