This is one of those movies that has a story thats hard to believe. I mean a 38 year old man that pitches a 98mph fastball while 20 year old kids can barely pitch 90. That's kinda hard to believe

@othfangirl A few months before this film came out, I saw the trailer. I was getting goose bumps! When it did hit thr theaters, I saw the film 7 times. 7! It's not even an action film, but it is such an incredible true story, I couldn't get enough.

This is a great movie. How refreshing to see a good movie the whole family can enjoy without the F-word every 30 seconds, and gratuitous violence. And it's not overly sugar-coated either. It has strained relationships, and hardship. It's also well directed and well acted by all players. The Rookie deserves more credit then most ppl give it.

I enjoyed the this movie a lot! My only gripe was that Dennis didn't look like a natural left handed pitcher! He was going through the motions somewhat well, but looked like he never played baseball until this movie!

I grew up on the sport of baseball but I sort of dwindled away with the strike. Slowly I came back and I think this movie is what got me back into the game. It's a great movie for families and baseball fans in general. It's a powerful message about following your dreams. Two things this movie gave me besides a renewed love for the game. One, got me to go to the Ballpark where the Texas Rangers play and two, at least the trailer got me hooked on the song "Lightning Crashes" by Live.

What a great movie!! One of the best in my opinion. I'm not a baseball fan, I don't know nothing about baseball. The first time i watched the movie, I left the movie theater with my eyes watery, my fiance at that time was from the middle east, the movie brought tears to his eyes. The movie is amazing, I just finish watching it in TBS and my eyes got watery again. Execellent film, another great movie is invincible, and the pursuit of happiness.
