  • It is a great innovation. This should be accompanied by all manufacturers TV models.

  • Great commercial. I like the idea !

  • it sure makes me nuts ,i always have the ambi light off.

but i guess it depends on what you like/

i have the model with the ambi light on the back.

this model would make me wanna trow it out the window

its not that cool design with that big window .

if i were about to get a new philips tv.

then i would get one with 200hz and led lights ,like the 8000 or 9000 series

and forget about the ambi lights, its not important to the quality.

    its just for fun.

    but it gets bored quik

  • This Scared The S**t Out Of Me When I Was Young.

  • this is bullshit...

  • What a waist

  • Is this on the 5000 series tvs?

  • Doesn't this distract too much from the actual movie? can you turn it off?

  • no it cant distract you. yes you can turn it off

  • Ofcourse it can distract you. It's distracting me just looking at it.

At least you can turn it off, it seems like a gimmick in my opinion. Would only be useful during music videos or such like which have no importance in concentration, ie. a feature film.

Or when you have friends round for a conversation starter. Loving the new 21:9 ratio TVs from Philips, but they too seem a little gimmicky.

  • @strathpol i agree its distracting i was tryng to focus on the picture but the green light kept distracting my vision, i pay to watch the movie not the exit signs at a cinema lol but yeh would be gr8 on a music video..

  • Porquê?

  • Screw you ! Ambilight is great !!!

  • i got it and i love it :)

  • for 500$ why not

  • This is pointless. Why not by a real tv that gives real theater like features, like a large screen, 240Hz, an 1080P

  • i have it it is awesome

  • The walls in my room is painted red. Do you think you will still be able to see the lights from the tv since my wall is red or does my wall have to be white for the lights to stand out? What do you think?

  • I think its the best if the wall is white, a have the lcd 32pfl9732D

  • i totally agree

  • Why? What's the problem with it?

  • What phillips

     tv is this

  • this is philips 42"lcd model 42pf9831
